RE: Fogde contact info?
I see that I have entered a Fodge family member into Find-A-Grave a few years ago. Did you get any information from that entry that might help? Like a Google Search for "Mary Rose 2011 Emmetsburg Iowa". That might help you find her obituary.

James 'Squire' Rice
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I appreciate your fulfilling my photo request for James Rice. It looked new and then I saw the photo caption indicating it IS new. I also appreciate the photo of James that you also posted; I already had a copy but it was a much lower quality. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

James Rice and his first wife Margaret Hunt are my wife's 3rd great grandparents through their daughter Mary P Rice, who married Charles H Spencer.

RE: Frank Cox
A curiosity question that you may or may not have an answer to. Why was the Catholic cemetery established so far from the others in downtown Phoenix? In terms of the 1890s and early 1900s it was a considerable amount of travel between downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale. From what I've seen in traveling through Arizona and the surrounding states, although separate, all of the various religious and fraternal cemeteries are usually fairly close. Except here. Any logical reason that you can think of? And, for that matter, why didn't Scottsdale have an early cemetery of its own?

RE: Frank Cox
Do notice that there is a memorial for Frank Cox on Find A Grave although it is a burial unknown.
