|I can honestly blame my sister and aunt! They have started me on the road of searching cemeteries for deceased family members. Combining the love of cemeteries and genealogy has been an addiction of mine for many years. Sharing brings us into contact with those family members we have not yet met.|
I am researching the Richard Ellwood family from New York. My sister is researching my father's line -- Deacon Benjamin Carter from Connecticut.

Both parts of the Memorial were posted at the same time. The info shown is correct in her Find A Grave site of 7442947. I am not sure what questions someone could have. Chuck Gay PS I am a little closer than you. I live in Mohawk, NY

Hi Charla, do you know much about Lucy's father Wm A Ellsworth? If not, I may have some info for you. I don't want to ramble on if you already have him figured out. :)
You can write to my email if you have time to respond.
All the best, Debra

Will you please omit William Newton Sparks from Martha Sparks's profile. He is her step son.
John Sparks's first wife is Martha. His second wife is Martha. William Newton Sparks is oldest of John's ten children. I think John's first wife is buried somewhere in Indiana.
So far I found John's 8 children's burial sites. Now,two more to go. Five of them are buried in California. I am looking for James Henry Sparks and Andrew C Sparks.
If you can help me to find James and Andrew, it would be wonderful.

The relationship between Margaret E. and William L. Hargis would be man and wife. She is aka "Sue" E. Davault.
Arthur F. Hargis can't be the son of Mary B. and William L. Hargis if the death dates given are correct. Mother Mary died Jan 19, 1883 and Arthur was born Nov 11, 1883 - born about 10 months after his mother's death.

Hello, I was wondering if you could shed some light on Rebecca J. (Fulton) Hurst, Find A Grave Memorial# 10174530.
I am wondering if she was Rebecca Woods. My grandmother Ethel (Warnick) Boswell was briefly married to Henry P. Hurst. His parents were Rebecca Woods and James Hurst of Cedar Bluffs, Saunders, NE. I found their names on the marriage certificate of Henry and Ethel.
Does this make sense to you?
I know that's a very small community as my ggrandparents the Kubicek's and Novak's came from this area...
Thank you for your assistance..

Hi, Thanks for noticing that. I always go with the year on the marker unless I have very solid information otherwise. It seems like about half the people in the 1800s couldn't quite keep track of the year they were born. I don't have any better information than what a cemetery person gave me. So I would just insert the month and day, if it was my record, and leave the year matching the stone. (My grandfather died in 1949 and it caused a huge blow-up in the family when the grave marker was inscribed with 1862 for the birth year. One faction said 1861 while the others stood with 1862. People get just crazy about this.)
