Hi! I have seen that name spelled so many different ways!! Would you happen to know anything about Elizabeth Seilhammer married to Isaiah Custer? She is my 1st cousin 5X removed. In my search I happened to come across George Armstrong Custer being someplace along my line. Now I am very curious!! Thank you!!

Hi Donald,

I just added a memorial for Calvin Seilhamer to the Roxbury Union Cemetery. I saw that you have memorials for the other Seilhamers in the cemetery, and thought you would like to know. At this point, I don't think he has a marker; I just happened to come across his obit while doing some research. I am trying to locate and identify unmarked graves at the cemetery.

I have linked Charlotte with her parents. I would be more than happy to transfer her memorial to you as I don't believe I'm related to her; I was entering research done by a Contributor who has passed away. Most of her research centers around Shippensburg as does a lot of mine.....

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure how I confused that information originally but I appreciate the correction :)

Yes and I actually have a picture Kirsten and Johannes.
It is no intrusion. Always glad to talk about family
I should post them as Emma and her parents are buried in the same plot.

Can you tell me what "evidence" (sorry only word I can think of right now...not meaning to sound harsh) you have that places Robert in the Camargo Cemetery?

I am trying to finish up photographing that cemetery and I find no information on him. It is a very small cemetery so there is no missing him while walking it.

There is also another cemetery called Oak Ridge which is across the street from Camargo. I am just starting to photograph that one so is it possible he may be there?

Thanks!

Oh, I was not offended. Sorry if it sounded that way. I was just saying if he was interned in the cemetery in 1857 and was moved from where the Veteran's is now that would be the Old Auburn cemetery.

The Old Auburn Cemetery is a wonderful Old cemetery with some beautiful grounds. You really get the feeling of history as you look at the old headstones and read the dates. It's amazing they moved these headstones and the people from where they were interned. That really bothers me. Seems so unrespectful.

The Placer County Hospital cemetery was started in 1866 and is still there off Elm Ave & HWY 80. They moved a small portion of the people to the New Auburn Cemetery but most are still at that location in unmarked graves. Have a great day and God Bless.

He should be put in the Old Auburn cemetery. That is the one that was moved at the time. It used to go by I.0.0.F. cemetery. It used to be where the Veteran's is now. Thanks for suppling that bit of information so I could get you to the right location.
