Bio and Links
Bio Photo Let me begin by saying that cemetery research and genealogy is much more than simply a hobby for me, it's a passion. I desire to capture the history of the every day person, to make sure their lives are remembered.

In all my hunting, one of the stories that I've uncovered and touched my heart isn't a relation to me. In fact, she has no descendents of her own. Hers is the the story of a young girl known as Minnie Adams, "The Wild Girl of Brush Valley Township." If you get the chance, stop over at her memorial, read her story, and remember her.

I am more than happy to work with others to make additions and corrections to the memorials I manage. I very much appreciate when updates include the reputable source of the information provided. Unfortunately, I have been given incorrect information in the past and wish to avoid that.

I do take pride in the memorials I manage, and I do my very best to promptly make updates that are sent my way. I take that responsibility seriously and always appreciate it when others manage their memorials with the same diligence and respect. One thing I've noticed across the board here at Find-A-Grave, kindness when making requests most often is rewarded.

I also would eagerly transfer management of a memorial page of a person whom I am not related (primarily anyone buried in New England are non-relations) to a descendant. I do expect that if a transfer is requested that you are an active Find-a-Grave member and will continue to maintain the memorial and graciously network with other descendents.

If you have questions on Find-A-Grave Transfer Policy refer to: Requesting a Transfer.

However, please respect that I retain management of the memorials of my ancestors. If we are both descendents, I certainly respect the Find-A-Grave policy on transfers for siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In all other cases, I keep management of my own ancestors. If you are looking for a way to "gather" your family and loved ones together, please check out the "Virtual Cemeteries" feature on your profile. This is an excellent tool for you to connect your family together.

PLEASE send corrections/requests by clicking the "EDIT" tab at the top right corner of the memorial page. Then click "suggest a correction or provide additional information". For transfers please state your relationship and include your member number. I sometimes miss messages posted below, so you'll have much better luck emailing me through the "edit" function.

As for me, I am a work-from-home mom of several passions. Family, genealogy, freelance writing, and Bible study are just a few. Check out my bio here.

Jennifer,

You are very welcome, glad to do it. Have you tried to call the church about the marker location?

Fascinating story. Hollywood movie in the making.
All said, I sounds as if she had some people that cared. If there is any excuse for her father and brothers is that it was such a 'shame' and sign of familiar 'weakness' during this time period.
May she rest in peace.

Hi Jennifer. I can't tell you how much I treasure such photos. They bring life to those we could not know.

The photo studio is only about 6-7 miles from where they are buried.

Let me know what else you find....I have zero from this branch of the family.

Many thanks!

Could you please give me directions to the McFarren Farm Cemetery in Bedford Co., Pa. I will be going home this summer and I want to visit this cemetery.
All I know is that it is in Cumberland Valley Twp, which I am very familiar with, but this township is vvery large and I need directions. Thank You

No problem! Thank you for letting me know about the parent links. I have no relation to Veronica, and I figured at least you knew who her parents were! Are you related?

I have made the corrections that you suggested. If he is a relative of yours, would you like me to transfer his memorial to you?

TRANSFER OF WILLIAM T. PUTT
Thank you for the transfer of my great grandfather ... I will take care of the Memorial. I appreciate your initial care and seeking out the information.... it is difficult to locate relatives when you live so far from their main 'life areas'. I too, do genealogy and with a passion as well. Consequently, when you do locate a family member it is always with a sigh of relief and gratitude that someone has been kind enough to pass on the information.
Much thanks again for William ..... blessings on you.
Sincerely,
Judith Thomas
