I saw you find a grave for sammuel Elliott, born 1866 and died 1952. I believe that this may be my great uncle, but the last record I havee is the 1880 census, and onituary for his mother mary ann elliott in 1883. I have him as Samuel J Elliott, farmer, and did reside at the Licking County Infirmary at one time. Do you have any further information pertaining to Sammeul, such as marriage or othe information about two brother and sister?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reason for the inquiry, all the boys and girls disappeared after ther mother disappeared. My grandfather did reside in Utica, and the daughter resided in Newark, Ohio till her death ini 1917.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for creating a memorial and adding a photo for Richard L. Shields #59225167. Do you mind if I use the photo on my Ancestry family tree? Thanks.

I am in the process of joining DAR and The Jamestowne Society so yes, I think you should as well. I have been to a few meetings and met several new friends. I am the 30 year old only granddaughter of Marcia. Her daughter, Frances is my mother. Here is a little chart starting with Henry Clay, Sr & Mary Mitchell;
William Mitchell Clay & Martha Runyan;
Mitchell Clay & Phoebe Belcher;
William Clay & Rebecca Cecil;
Elizabeth Clay & John Peter Riffe;
William Mitchell Riffe & Elizabeth Short;
William Theodore Riffe & Nancy Oilve Ross;
Frances Elizabeth Riffe & Michael Joseph Dowling;
Marcia Pollard Dowling Mabley & William Clinton Prichard;
Frances Lisa Prichard Mabley & William Alva Hannah, Jr;
Rachel Elizabeth Hannah (me)
I am able to prove all the way back to John Clay who was an immigrant to Jamestown. I just need more documentation regarding Elizabeth "Betsy" Clay probing that she is in fact the daughter of William & Rebecca. The SAR membership applications are null and void to the Jamestowne Society although accepted for DAR. I have found a deed of property from William Clay to John Riffe as well as a Big Sandy News article from 1922 called "Historical Sketch of Early Settlers" listing their children. If you could locate bible records that would be amazing!
I live in Lexington, KY and am joining the Lexington Chapter of the DAR.
It seems we are distant relatives :)

I am working on a genealogy project that requires me to prove Elizabeth Clay was the daughter of William Clay and Rebecca Cecil. Do you have or know where I can locate a document that states such? Thank you.
|Ethel Beasley Spivey||Hattie K. Spicer-Barber daughter of Sheldon Spicer & Mary Shipp Spicer|
Hattie is my Great Grandmother who passed in 1920. My Grandmother was only 9. She has also passed away and I am having a very hard time trying to find my G-Gra!mothers Site. Or any of my relatives from her side of the family. My grandmother had a very rough life after her mothers death and would Love to find out more about her mother. She was born in licking county around what is now Johnstown in 1889.
I see that you've indicated you're a direct descendant of Wm Clay, fatherof Mitchell Clay. I know that Mitch had a brother David. Do you know if that is the same David Clay who had a child named Tabitha Clay (married a Stewart)? (Tabitha is my 5th great-grandmother and I'm having trouble locating her father.) If you can help, please email LisaRC1@yahoo.com. Thank you
