Find A Grave Memorial# 73563679
Hi,

The photo of the head stone does not clearly show the dates. I can read "in her 74th year of" which would mean she was not yet 74. The date shown on the Find A Grave web site for death is 29 feb 1759. Feb 29 would only happen on a leap year and 1759 is not a leap year. do it would need to be either 1756 or 1760. Since her birth is 5 Apr 1682 and she is not yet 74 but in her 74th year, I am guessing it is 1756.

Can you clarify the dates or is the stone too far gone to read with any certainty.

Tks. GR

The photo you posted on this page should be on William Wesley Long 78500936 (which it is). It is W W Long's marker, not W M Long's.

RE: William H Taylor
I forget to ask, when I go to look for William did you also need a photo of Mary E Taylor?

Okay, well I found a Mary Taylor. it said Elizabeth on the request for Williams headstone. does William have a nickname? or another name that may be on the headstone?
Let me know and I can go back out there and look again.

William H Taylor
I found a headstone for this Gentleman, but the dates are off, please let me know if you want me to post it anyway. this marker was not in the Park section. I check that section as well, I did not find a William H. Taylor, or Elizabeth Rhoades Taylor
Thank you
Kaycee

You will need to ask Amy S, if you can post her photo. She is very nice to work with, we have worked together on a lot of the Boulder memorials.

Hi,
I went up to Old Ashford Cemetery Ashford CT today and took other photos of his gravestone. It is carved very shallowly and so the lettering is not very strong.

Good luck with your genealogy,
Sara

You are welcome. I live only 5 minutes from the Old Burying Ground. But, I have a copy of the "Epitaphs Compiled 1894-5." I'm even closer to Westlawn Cemetery, which is in charge of the two town cemeteries and it is easy enough to check their website. I'm sorry Elizabeth wasn't there.
