Greetings, and thank you for visiting my profile page. I would like to sincerely thank all of the contributors who provide so much valuable information for the memorials. We all agree the memorials are a work in progress. Find a Grave works so well because of the fantastic, dedicated contributors such as yourself. I receive a LOT of edits and additonal information. I try hard to handle my edits in a timely fashion. Sometimes I am unable to keep up with thanking each and everyone that provides edits and additonal information. For this I am sorry but I sincerely appreciate your hard work and hopefully together we are helping a lot of people with family searches and honoring our departed loved ones.|
May God bless each of you.
I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of
South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Lloyd, Parnells, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!
King James Version (KJV)
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
My Brother: Dantzler W. Watkins
P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He haid been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

Yes, the dates are incorrect.

Annie Cecilia Adams (1874-1863) is Margaret's daughter. The other Annie Cecilia is Annie's daughter. And, William Adams is Annie's husband. Annie's sister, Elizabeth, was my great-grandmother. (Annie and Elizabeth's biological father was supposedly a Mr. Alford--that's the last name they both gave on their marriage certificates--but nobody seems to be able to find any proof of his marriage to Margaret.) There's a long story there that I won't go into. :)

Hi, Johnny - thank you for all that you do. You took pictures of my grandparents' tombstones in Jacksonville and I appreciate it.
I am just up the road from you, in Lexington, SC.
I am retired and a veteran. Presently my project is to up grade and link family to all the South Carolinians who were KIA in Vietnam, and finally give them the respect and recognition they right deserved many years ago. I was reviewing Morgan Thompson today and noticed he is a lonely young man, you mentioned his mother and sister, but I have been unable to locate either for further information. I did locate a document from the Pentagon which noted his NOK as Emily Marks, Jackson, Fla., but can find no further information.
Would you by chance have any further information on him that I can pursue to link him to his family.
The document noted his father as deceased.
Thanks For all you are doing and have done to link families and friends with their deceased loved ones.

Thanks for your consideration.

What needs editing/deleting is memorial # 143578103 for Jo M. Grandall. The 921417509 memorial for Jo M. Crandall is correct. Sorry if I was confused. Thank you for responding.
