Bio and Links
Bio Photo I became interested in our family history as a direct result of the avid interest of my mother and oldest sister. My life has become enriched by this desire to know where I came from. Thanks mom and sis!

I truly enjoy Find A Grave and the Find A Grave community. This growing group of volunteers is so willing to help other researchers!

I am very willing to add to and correct any of the memorials I manage and will do so as quickly as possible. Please help me out by making suggestions through each memorial's EDIT button. This makes it much easier to locate the correct memorial to make the recommended additions and corrections. It will also make certain that I see the request. Requests made through member page messages can get missed.

Thanks much!

FELLOW PHOTOGRAPHERS - the website below has some great tips on photographing headstones, it is a worthwhile read - check it out.

http://www.jillsgenealogy.com/misc/tips-and-tricks/801-headstones-photographing-and-rubbing-information.html

Briefly - some Do's and Don'ts
DO'S:
- do use reflected light to photograph hard to read stones (use a mirror or other reflective surface)
- do get down to eye level with the stone
- do fill the viewfinder with the stone
- do take some close ups and some photos showing the entire stone
- do use only distilled water and soft wood utensil (bamboo or popsicle stick) to gently remove lichens
- do use soft natural bristle brushes

DON'TS:
- don't use chalk, flour, shaving cream, graphite, etc. to read stones (these can damage and/or stain the stone).
- don't do rubbings as the pressure can damage the stone and/or break the stone off
- don't use soaps, vinegar, club soda, bleach, or cleaning solutions of any kind
- don't use wire brushes, sharp metal objects, knives, nail files, etc.

Thanks!

Michael Kretschman 95549381
Hi! Do you have a personal connection to Michael Kretschman? If not, would you transfer him to me? I graduated from the university in Shippensburg, PA where he taught. I majored in Spanish and he taught French. However, I did know him. I hope to write a brief bio of him if a librarian friend can locate his obit. in the Shippensburg newspaper. if she does not locate a bio, I can write I do know of k=him.

Thank you.

Greenwood. Thank you, Jenean
for all the pretty pictures to wake up to this morning ! Frauchiger, Potter, and Burkhalters, for starters, and any and all I may have neglected thanking you for over the years (or you just did without any formal request, just because you're you :) It's amazing how much has gotten done in that huge cemetery.

Grateful Cynthia

RE: John Rolland Wolfe
They have been located!
His wife is listed as Edna and he is listed as J Rolland. In these days of digital files it messes up finding things alpabetically.
Grave location is Section 60 Lot 50.
I will get pics later this week.
Please place him back in Union Cemetery.
Thx

RE: Eliab Ely
Hi Jenean,
You are very welcome! He is listed as Ely, Elias/Eliab. The link to the website that has the burials for Lyme is http://archives.lymepublichall.org/ Look under the headstones and cemeteries tab to download the alpha surname chart. You may find a few more ancestors :)
Happy hunting! Kris

RE: John Rolland Wolfe
The Ohio Death index shows his name as John Rowland and his draft registration shows his wife as Edna Rae. I will check those names at the cemetery this week. Union Cemetery has exceptionally good records but only as good as the names and dates as were recorded.

I must've dreamt I'd given up trying to sleep last night and had gotten up at 4 AM to input the photo requests I'd neglected to do among other things yesterday and lo 'n behold when I really woke up today, found PHOTO SUCCESS !!! notices filling my email box. Wow.

Much done already!
And beautifully as always :)

Thank you, Jenean.
