What I find sad is lost graves; my great grand uncle Anthony J. Mathews grave location in the Hayden, Colorado cemetery was lost because of a fire. He had no grave marker.|
Most of my entries in the Oak Creek Cemetery in Oak Creek Colorado have been because my last living aunt could not remember where my step great grandfather is buried. This fact started me on a quest to help improve the Oak Creek cemetery listing. I have added more than 1300 records to the Oak Creek cemetery. I corrected information from the list in the cemetery as I have found errors, from my photos of the markers in the cemetery.
Individuals and family members should be remembered. Our past is the glue that holds for a brighter future.
I also believe that family links are important, if you know family members please send me the links.
Transfers ask! generally I transfer memorials as long as you do not delete or fail to maintain the memorial that makes me sad.
Please do not create duplicate memorial just because you want to "own" the memorial. I will gladly remove any memorial that I accidentally duplicate following Find A Grave policy maintaining first creator rights.
If you find any mistakes, want additional information or bio added PLEASE MAKE ALL SUGGESTIONS AND REQUESTS USING THE EDIT BUTTON and use the suggest a correction link and I will then revise or add the information as soon as I can.
Photos people should ask; the photo taker has the copyright to the photo, you should not post them anywhere else without written permission. Sadly copyright and Find A Grave policy is greatly ignored, my photos have ended up everywhere.

Many thanks to Topeka Tom (#47257078), Peggy Bargen Duey (#46873059) for making Find A Grave a better place. Peggy has infinitely expanded my family tree with her Memorials. Topeka Tom gave me back hope when I was about to surrender to the nut cases that do not read Find A Grave policy and those who are just plain impolite.
Finally please visit the Find A Grave memorial of my first cousin once removed Fryar, Elmer E.

I went to the Astatula Cemetery today and could not find anyone with the names of Charles or Susan Barclay/Barkley. I did find a Robert O. Barclay B-7/14/1946 and D-8/03/1974....pvt. in the U.S. Army. There are quite a few graves that you cannot read anything on the stones because they have weathered so bad. If you have any other info ie: row or plot location I would be more than happy to go back and see what I can find. Sorry

You are very welcome. I really enjoy searching the old cemeteries. I am presently involved in reclaiming an old cemetery that has most of the stones broken or down. They have been down for many years and have become buried in soil and forest debris. So far I have reclaimed 8 missing stones and with the help of the historical society will hopefully find all that we know were there.

|La Jean Greeson||John J. and Harry C. Peters Memorials|
I was wondering if you have any more information about these two men. In my family my grandfather's paternal uncle was John Jacob Peters and his only son was Harry C. Peters. The Harry C. Peters in my family was born in 1905 and died in 1964. I know that John Jacob was born in 1882 and died after 1940. John lived in Teller Co most of his life and passed away in Canon City. Let me know if you have anymore information.

|Peter Joseph ("PJ") Braun||Danke Shoen for the transfer of the Margaret (Moore) Pogatchnik memorial|
Just a quick note to express my heartfelt gratitude for BOTH initially creating this Find A Grave memorial and for your willness to transfer it over to my care so I can more easily add relevant data & family links. Namaste, "PJ"
