I am currently researching the Brooks family in and around Claiborne County, Tennessee, Bell County, Kentucky and Lee County, Virginia. If I have created a memorial of your relatives and they are more closely related to you and to me, please let me know. I will be happy to transfer the memorial to you.|

Thank you for taking the time to go and take a photo of Kelburn Edwards grave marker. It was very kind of you!
Hello Becky, a while back you sent me some information on Thomas & Catherine Brooks, who are the parents of my Grand-mother Ella Ann Brooks Leach. I think you mentioned that Catherine is the daughter of Armstead Brooks. Is that correct or is Thomas the son of Armstead? If you ever find the time, I would love to hear from you. Thanks, Jean.

Hi, Pooh Bear.
I recently noticed that you had provided some information to Edie Doepel regarding Lizzie Brooks, whose memorial is #28356297. (Edie just transferred the memorial to me, and I've now added Lizzie's full name: Matilda Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Dickerson) Blankenship Brooks. I'm wondering: Are you related to the family, too? (Lizzie's first husband Columbus Blankenship was my great-granduncle). I see you have a virtual cemetery called "Brooks family" so perhaps your connection is through the Brooks'. But I was intrigued to see that you knew that Lizzie was Henry B. Blankenship's mother and Columbus Blankenship's wife (before she married Lewis Brooks). If you are related to the Blankenships I'd love to correspond and share info with you. I'm also wondering if you know where Columbus is buried?
Thank you so much.

Yep, I assume we are indeed cousins in several ways. I have my genealogy online here: http://darrellky.tribalpages.com/
Also, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can send you some photos of Charlie and Laura if you like.

I've link Charlie and Laura to my grandfather Frank Davidson. Amazingly, I remember my great-grandmother Laura, but I was too young to comprehend that she was an actual relative, she lived next to one of my great-aunts and would always walk over (about 30 steps away) whenever were went down there on vacation and visited with everyone. (I live in Louisville).
Hello Pooh Bear,
It looks as if you have done a great deal of work on the Brooks family in and around Claiborne County. My dad, Kenneth Albert Brooks (1913-1983) was from there. His dad was John William Brooks (1880-1950) and his mom was Dora Dean Baker Brooks (1883-1952). They are buried in the Cottrell-Johnson cemetery in Harrogate, Tenn.
Have you done any work that might help me get further back in the Brooks line with any certainty? I have my great-granddad as James A. Brooks, but I can't swear to any of that!
