I was born in Decatur, Macon Co., IL and have lived in Illinois all my life. My father is George Johnson Wright and mother is Daisy Angeline Norman. I married Franklin Hall Allison b. 1943 in Wayne Co., MO d. 1998 in Butler Co., MO. I |
remarried to Charles Allison b. 1950 Stoddard Co., MO. In 2006, Charles and I moved to Puxico, MO...who I lost in December 2010.
I have worked for the Postal Service since 1979 and as a Postmaster since 2001. I retired in 2005. In 2007, I went back to work as a Postmaster Relief at the Wappapello Post Office in Wappapello, MO. I retired again in 2010 hoping to spend more time on my hobby and passion of doing Genealogical Research.
I am researching the following names: Norman, Coleman, Brothers, Wright, Bumgardner, Allison, Fox, Nation. I am also researching the states of Illinois and Missouri (SE) for a connection between the Normans of Illinois and those of SE Missouri. I am researching for a connection between the Colemans of Illinois and those of SE Missouri. Any help would be appreciated.

Certainly wished I could send a photo, but there were no stones. I made three trips, taking pictures of all neighboring stones, going home to see what their exact sites were, and just no stones. Lots of blank sites, so decided a picture of where they should be was better than nothing. Thomas is in Section L, block 143 SW5, Geneva is Section L, block 143 NW2.
Digital archives lists death dates and marriage as Nov. 9, 1945. So really did try to help you. Can't take a stone photo when there is none. Sorry.
|Hoosier||James & Elizabeth Wright|
James & Elizabeth lived on a farm near Harrodsburg, not in Harrodsburg. If you look at the Hazel/Wright Cemetery it is located in Victor, Indiana. I grew up there and my sister & I were able to see the inside of the church that he helped to get built. His farm was in Victor. I know just about were it is at. His Grandson, William Bowen, my 2nd great-grandfather is buried in Kirksville (were I went to school) is about 1/2 way between Victor & Harrodsburg.
I do not know were I got the birth date, but the death date was a mistake or typo.

I see that you have the married name of Allison, are they by any chance related to any Allison's in the White County IL area?
|Russell ||Richard Sr. father|
Is William the father of Richard Wright Sr. or is it Philburt? Find A Grave says William. But I have a message that says Philburt "through recent DNA"

Thanks for the quick reply and the lead on the info. Since you seem to know a lot about this line, have you ever found a connection to the Wright Bros.? Family legend says they are related in one way or another.

|Russell ||Nancy J. Wright|
I found a picture on this site with your email attached. It is for Nancy J. Wright wife of James B. Wright. Do you know of any documentation for this marriage? They are my distant grandparents and I can find none. From what I have found he remarried and was buried next to his wife Sarah. Any help would be appreciated.

My mother Audrey is already there, and I will get my Aunt Fern once I get good information for her location.

Hello David L. Clark is my great grandfather. I have not been able to find much about him or my great grandmother Mary A. Where is this cemetery located. I am vaguely familiar with the area. Thank you so much for listing this grave. I didn't know where they were buried and now I may get to visit them.
