I was born in Decatur, Macon Co., IL and have lived in Illinois all my life. My father is George Johnson Wright and mother is Daisy Angeline Norman. I married Franklin Hall Allison b. 1943 in Wayne Co., MO d. 1998 in Butler Co., MO. I |
remarried to Charles Allison b. 1950 Stoddard Co., MO. In 2006, Charles and I moved to Puxico, MO...who I lost in December 2010.
I have worked for the Postal Service since 1979 and as a Postmaster since 2001. I retired in 2005. In 2007, I went back to work as a Postmaster Relief at the Wappapello Post Office in Wappapello, MO. I retired again in 2010 hoping to spend more time on my hobby and passion of doing Genealogical Research.
I am researching the following names: Norman, Coleman, Brothers, Wright, Bumgardner, Allison, Fox, Nation. I am also researching the states of Illinois and Missouri (SE) for a connection between the Normans of Illinois and those of SE Missouri. I am researching for a connection between the Colemans of Illinois and those of SE Missouri. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm am sorry you are having problems.
I hope you had not sent the corrections to me and I didn't make them for you.
I always transfer to relative unless the memorial is my relative. And always make changes that are suggested to me.
It depend on the changes you want made. You can use the edit tab located at the top right on the memorials to request changes.
(Birth/death date, birth/death place) (relationship parent and spouse links) be sure and have the memorial # for the person you want to link to.
(Plot or GPS)
If she declines the edit, I really don't know what options you have. But if she ignores the edit, Find a Grave will make the changes automatically in 28 days. Of course if she goes to the memorial itself later, she can always undo the changes.
I hope this helps.
I transfed management of the Dishon's to you,if I have any more family you would like, just let me know. Thank you,Kim

No problem at all. We live close by and enjoy the challenge of finding a particular stone. Have a great day,

I am having the same problem and questions about this? I think Margaret or our cousin Linda may have some insight because the only information I have on my Whitt family line is the records I have found on Ancestry.com and Findagrave.com. If you find any other info on whether my great grandpa had been married once or twice - please let me know and I will do the same. On my grandpa Ruben Whitt's obituary - Nancy Elledge is listed as his Mother.

Apparently some time ago you requested that Lin (Find A Grave member 46798906) connect her memorial 47612942 for James Monroe Binkley born 1868, died 1948) to "his parents" Anthony Thomas Binkley (1824-1910) and Sarah Jane (Rawls) Binkley (1826-1874).
However, those are not the parents of James Monroe Binkley ~ According to your list of Anthony and Sarah's children, their son is James Ellen Binkley who was born on February 29, 1868 but . . .
James Monroe Binkley who was born on December 31, 1868 AND his Death Certificate states that he is the son of James "Monroe" Binkley Sr and Lucy "Catherine" (Arrington) Binkley.
I've been advised that Lin will NOT remove those links unless you contact her and let her know that they are not the right links to Monroe's parents.
I'm not sure what good it'll do, but here are the proper links to the memorials for James Monroe Binkley Jr's parents:
~ his father - James Monroe Binkley Sr 131918258
~ his mother - Lucy Catherine Arrington Binkley 131918175
You're help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Jane Wright-Allison: I am not directly related to the Fox family, but 2 of my first cousins, Lorene, and Doris, nee Fox married two Fox brothers, Joe and Fred Fox. This past summer I attended the Fox family reunion at the Sam A. Baker State Park in Wayne County, MO. I will be happy to share photos and genealogy information I have on the Fox family. During the reunion I filmed a home movie of the Fox family. I will be happy to send you a copy of the DVD which also has a scrapbook section with lots of photos. You will not be able to download the photos from the DVD, but I will be happy to make copies of those you want. Send me your home address to firstname.lastname@example.org or you can send correspondance to 33 Guetterman Dr. Belleville, IL 62220.
