Bio Photo 21 Oct 2014 - I am extremely busy right now but my schedule should be clearing up in the next week or two and I will get caught up on all my Findagrave emails and requests. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
I have had this happen only occasionally but it is kind of frustrating. If you have your messages disabled and your email address is not displayed - I can certainly understand the need for that.
But if you send me additional information, requests, suggestions etc about memorials I manage, please include an email address so that I can respond. I have received emails where the sender was simply incorrect, or they weren't necessarily incorrect, but there were reasons for what I showed etc. It would be nice to be able to respond to the message. It is only courteous to give the other person the chance to respond. They might have information that you don't. Please don't expect me to just do what you ask if you aren't going to give me that courtesy.

I have been researching my genealogy for over 25 years and am totally addicted. I also work on my husband's lines. I am new to the Greensboro area, but will try to help however I can. I recently moved from Texas to North Carolina. I had lived in Texas all my life until last year's move. While I miss Texas, I love North Carolina too.

I will not transfer memorials for people that I am related to. However, if you send me additional information etc that you would like added, I will be happy to do that.

If I am not related to the person, I will be happy to honor transfer requests to relatives of the person in question. I like for the memorials to be in a relative's care.

When I fulfill a photo request, I normally keep all originals of my photos, which I will share by email if requested. My photos may be used and reposted for personal use and not for profit. I do appreciate when people credit me as the source, just as a courtesy.

Due to continued frustration with Yahoo, I am changing my email address from Yahoo to Gmail. I will be keeping the Yahoo address so if anyone contacts me there I will still get the messages, and they won't give my email address to someone else.

I think you should continue to manage Mary Couch's memorial, as you are closer related to her than I am. I descend from her father's brother, William M. Couch.

RE: Daniel Ackerman memorial #19354406
Hi Dee,

Sarah Elizabeth Ackerman's burial page is

She married Samuel Lefevere.

I have Ferris in my background from Sarah's mother, Aletta. That family is very interesting.

On and find a grave, the children I have not researched elsewhere (mostly siblings of my direct ancestors) I always write that I have not confirmed them. Somebody else may have already. For me, it's time consuming enough to do my direct line, as I have gone back as far as 1300s on my some of them. Is there a better way to do that? Thanks so much for your message.

best regards, Nancy

Elizabeth Slaughter
I'm related to the SLAUGHTER family. This is what I know. Elizabeth Slaughter was born March 1871 in Marble Falls, Burnet, Texas. Her parents were William Ransom Slaughter and Sarah Ann Smith. She married Jefferson Lee Tumlinson on March 21, 1894 in Burnet, Texas. The had 5 children: Beulah Elsie, Clara Mae, William Avery, Alvin Lee and Gladys Irene Tumlinson. Elizabeth Died on Nov 8, 1903 in Burnet, Texas. (I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE SHE IS BURIED)

second part of the story:
Jefferson Lee Tumlinson re-married Mary Elizabeth SMITH (Lizzie). They had NO CHILDREN.

Mary Elizabeth Smith was born on Jun 13, 1872 in Valley Springs, Llano, Texas. She first married Thomas Mattison Poole. They had two children; Robertson Levi and Roy Lee Poole. After he died in 1906, Mary Elizabeth re-married Jefferson.

I'm sure Elizabeth is buried near by but I don't know where yet.

I noticed you had contributed to a few Bauer memorials and was wondering if they were my relatives since the name is so rare they are in Jefferson County, Alabama which is were my maternal family is from. Charley Bauer or Charlie Bowers was born in Germany and came to the US through the military. His daughter is my great grandmother Annie Mae Bowers who was born in Jefferson county to Ida Lee Harrison and Charlie Bowers. I imagine you are busy. I try to do the research myself but this is one I haven't been able to really find leads on. I hope you have a spectacular 2015.
