Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy for 25 years. I think that Find a Grave is a great resource. I plan to add more records in the future.

I would like to exchange information with anyone interested in these families. Please let me know you have any additions and corrections.

I have made the change on the cenotaph and have placed Bud in the Nickname field, as they advise us. A thought on his grandmother: The cemetery may not recommend relocation after a certain point because of deterioration of the containers. Concrete vaults have only been used in the last 50 years.

RE: Fite in Goshen Cemetery
I already transferred a Fite memorial to you, but asking for 7 is a bit much. Send me your info and I'd be happy to link it or include it.

RE: Tombstone of Jacob Fite
Not sure where you live, but I live in Gastonia. I was principal of North Belmont Elementary (1996-2000) which is just a block from Goshen Cemetery. On afternoons I would walk the cemetery and take pictures. On one one of those walks I discovered my fraternal GGGrandmother was buried there. Now to you questions. I took the original photo in 2007. I re-visited the grave today and took a few additional photos which I have added to the memorial. I deleted the original photo with one without chalk on it. I have since learned not to do that. The first photo shows Jacobs marker in the center of the photo. It is located about the center (side to side) and is about 3/4's toward the back of the cemetery. The stone is still up right but leaning forward and to the right when facing the marker. The marker behind his (looking west) is for Jacob N. Fite. It had fallen over and I stood it back up, however, I suspect it will topple back over before you visit. If I can be of additional help just ask. I would send you original photos but at present and unable to upload photos.

Peter Fite and Wife
I am confused. The Fite Family Book lists Barbara Hedenger as Peter's wife and the mother of his children.
