RE: Gladys Putnin
Thank you so much, that is Kate's daughter (my mother's younger sister was Glady Howard Putnin). Kate married a Russian named Alexander Putnin. They moved to Florida when their baby son was born. The baby Alex died there (I believe). They came back to Savannah, and I believe Glady died not long after. I would love to know where she is buried. I need to make a trip back to Savannah. I live outside Washington, DC. My mother's sister, Ruby Hoover Impola and her husband, Pentti Impola are also buried at Bonaventure. She died in 1996, he died in 1988. The last time I saw my Aunt Ruby, she was so proud to tell me she had bought cemetery lots at Bonaventure -- and that they would have a view of the river -- I thought that was so sweet. I am finding a lot of good genealogy details & information from Find A Grave, also finding information that leads to more questions. Just as a sidebar, I have two statues of the "Bird Girl" in my house. Thank you again for all you do.

Headstone for Kate Humphrey Hoover
Thank you so much for the picture of the headstone for my grandmother, Kate Humphrey Hoover. My mother was her daughter, Hettie, by her 2nd husband, Henry Howard. I have never been to this cemetery, but plan to visit the next time I am in Savannah. The headstone looks recent. I would love to get in touch with whomever provided it. Dixie & Kate had three children. Kate had two daughters by her 2nd husband, and I think she had a daughter by her first husband. This is so helpful for my genealogy research. Can't thank you enough.
