I have always loved the old cemeteries. My interest in genealogy has brought me back into the cemeteries to find my roots. I love helping others to discover their past and to honor and remember those that have come before us. |
Currently I am working on photographing and transcribing the cemeteries of Queens Co. and Long Island, New York. I love learning about the interesting families that lived here and I am happy to help others when I can.
Nearly all of the information for the memorials I have entered is taken from photographs which I have personally taken. In the interest of getting as many people entered as possible, I have gotten behind in adding all my photos. If you see a memorial which I have entered and you would like a photo, please request the photo by clicking the "request a photo" tab on the memorial and then drop me a line to let me know that you have put in the request. I am not automatically notified when a photo request has been made on a memorial I have created.
I welcome all corrections. I try to be as accurate as I possibly can.

I've deleted my dupe memorial :) Thank you for the gracious & courteous manner in which you worked with me. It's truly appreciated.
|B Harrison||Isaac Parish photo request, Weekes Cem.|
Would you be willing to take a photo of Isaac Parish, my ancestor at the Weekes Cemetery, Oyster Bay Cove, NY. Greatly appreciated.
Isaac Parish (& his parents if possible, Townsend Jr. & Anne Burroughs (NORRIS) PARISH). Isaac was born in Oyster Bay Feb 14 1829 & died Feb 12 1890 (probably in Albany) NY. He is #69842216 on the Findagrave website info for his burial.
I am related to Stephen Pettit, died 1881,buried in St. George's Cemetery, Hempstead, N.Y. However, according to the census records and my own family records, he was not married to Elizabeth Hewlett but to Catherine who shows up on their son's wedding license and her maiden name was Mott. So I am totally confused here but if you look on Ancestry.com his death certificate I have posted there and it does say he is buried in St. George.s or at least in Hempstead so that is correct but Elizabeth doesn;t show up in my serach at all, so if you could help me out here, it would be great. I used to live up on Long Island and three blocks from the curch where he is buried-he is my great x3 grandfather on my mother's side. Thanks for your help.

If it's possible could you transfer the memorial of Robert B. Meyer # 80300015 to us. He was a veteran of our organization during the Mexican border ( 1916 ) and World War 1. For the centennials of both we are trying to bring together all of the Troopers, of that era. Much Thanks in advance !

thank you for the transfer :-)

|Susan Bennett Perkowski||Birthdates|
I did an edit for birthdates for John Isaac Bennett and his wife Mary. They are my great x 2 grandparents, and the information comes from our family bible started by John Isaac's parents for them in 1808.
|Annabelle ONeill||RE: Alexander Fyfe|
Burial location is Trinity Cemetery, Hewlett, NY
|Annabelle ONeill||Alexander Fyfe|
I have just been told by a photographer that Alexander is in the same grave with his parents, Sarietta & John Fyfe in Trinity Cemetery, Hewlett. I have asked him to put his picture of the stone on Alexander's memorial. Could you please correct the cemetery on Alexander's memorial? Thanks - Annabelle
Looks like someone may have lifted your photo for an Ancestry.com entry
