A special thanks to everyone for visiting and leaving flowers for my parents: James Lee Cobb and Alma Jean Crawford Cobb.
Please visit my sister's memorial, who left this life 7APR2012, Kathy.
"There is something within us that tells us all we will ever know about ourselves. There is a destiny that tells us where we will be born, where we will live, and where we will die.
I have walked the land in the footsteps of my fathers. Back in time to where the first one trod, and stopped, saw sky, felt wind, bent to touch Mother Earth.....and called this "Home."
Father, mother. Grow, too the sons and daughters. To walk the old paths. To look back in pride in honored heritage. To hear its laughter and its song. To grow, to stand and be themselves, one day remembered.
I have walked the land in the footsteps of all my fathers.
I saw yesterday and now look to tomorrow.

 | S.H. and Gus Cobb I was doing some prep work, getting ready to finish these photo requests. Unfortuantely, I found both Cobbs in the unmarked graves index. S.H. cobbs death was shown to be 6 Feb 1914 which disagrees with what was listed on Find A Grave. I will gladly provide photos if you still wants them.
Sorry, Terry | | | Sheila Miller-Cobb
 | RE: Cobb marker I would like to do something about Mitchel's stone, since it is on the ground. I am afraid it might eventually be lost. Maybe this fall my husband and I could figure something out, after all, Mitchel would have been his uncle. | | | OBXr
 | "Old Diver" McGuire Hi J.L., Old Diver isn't buried in the British Cemetery. His grave sits alone, as described on the its gravesite page: "This singular gravestone is located just beyond the British Cemetery and in front of the Williams Family Cemetery on British Cemetery Road, Ocracoke."
The British Cemetery has only 4 graves, although cenotaphs for two others (Frederic Barnes & William White) were added at some point.

 | RE: Cobb Hi, Jamey. Was this for the photo for Albert Cobb at Holly Grove?? Jane | | | Natalie Padgett
 | RE: Cobb Jamey; I have fulfilled the request for Ruby Cobb. I got the best picture I could. The stone is crumbling in the middle of the marker, but the partial dates match. I also searched again for the marker for Jennie Cobb. I could not find it, but I found a grave in the family plot that was marked by two larger than normal bricks presumably one at the head and one at the feet. I believe that to be her. Anyway sorry for both not being able to find Jennie and shape of Ruby's stone. Natalie | | | Missy
 | Raywood Cobb I'm looking for any information on Raywood Cobb b.9/23/1908 d.9/4/1978. I found him on Find A Grave listed as Raymond Cobb (Find A Grave Memorial# 66695044). He was my husband's grandfather. My husband never met him and knows very little about him after he moved to Cleveland, OH. His first wife was Bessie Margurite Lawrence and he had 4 children with her - "Lucky" Ota Ray, Phyllis, Helen "Bonnie" and Leonard (my husband's father). They lived in Ripley, Brown County, OH. My husband is desperate to find out any information on his family in Cleveland. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Lora CobbAdded by Missy on Jun 01, 2013 12:25 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
