RE: Jackson family

Do you have any pictures of the Jackson family? Do you know who owns the property the Jackson family had? I found a lady & she lives near the land & she said some cousins bought it & didn't know if they were still alive or not or who owned it now, I went to Calhoun KY & did some research on the Jackson & we are distant cousins to President Andrew Jackson, so I called her back & she said she wasn't interested in knowing about our ancestors, & so I'm searching for some more cousins. Thanks for the infor Annie Crowe Coffman

RE: Jackson family
Do you know where Andrew & Mary (Lacklin) Jackson & their daughter Mary Jane Jackson Morgan are buried? I have been searching for Mary Jane & can't find her anywhere. There's is a Jackson Cem in Daviess Co., KY & it's all growed up & someone listed about 15 people that was buried there but they weren't on the list, but there's other people that are related like the Lanham & Sparks. Hope you have this infor just lying around some where. I talked to a distant cousin & she wasn't helpful at all & didn't care or want to know about the Jacksons & according to a book on the Jacksons we are distant cousins to the President Andrew Jackson & she said I don't want to be rude but I don't care that just bothers me, I love researching my Roots & am very prood of our ancestors, thanks Annie Crowe Coffman

Simon Girty
Thank your the thoughtful biography on Simon Girty. It is easy to find information on this man by one side or the other of his life, and both sides are equally true. However, it is good to read something that tries to explain both sides of him. Again, thank you.

Thank you for the posting on my Grandmother. While I knew where her grave was and had visited it a few times as a child, I was pleased to find her on this site. My father named me for her. While I never had a chance to know her as she passed away nine years before my birth Ive always felt very close to her. I only wish Lilacs had been an option to place on her grave as this was her favorite flower.
