|I am researching four family lines at the moment: BRANDENBURG for my mother's family, WOODYARD for my half-brother's family, MCCOMAS for my natural father's family and WISCKOL for my step-father's family. |
I'm happy to contribute photos of headstones from cemeteries in my area, Ypsilanti (Washtenaw Co.), MI. Quickest response may be from Highland Park cemetery in Ypsilanti where I'm currently transcribing the grounds.
Highland is pretty liberal when it comes to allowing family to landscape the plot. As a result, many times a clear image of the marker isn't possible due to over-grown flowers or other plantings. If you'd like a different image, please let me know and I'll try to get another one.
Please let me know if you notice any errors in the memorials I've created. Many times these are created late at night, or after I've been staring at images for hours on end and my brain has already gone to bed :)
Also, I'm happy to transfer memorials I've created to family members who wish to keep them updated.
I hope my contributions have helped you in your research!

Rick, you posted a picture on my Aunt's memorial (20773426) of her headstone and I wanted to know if it is okay if I use a copy for my family tree.

I think the person that sent you the info on the wife of Hervey S Kelsey 65672592, made a typo.
His wife was Phoebe R West Kelsey 65672593, as seen in the grave marker foto. With the correct wife, the incorrect child will also drop off.
Thanks for all your work.

I was delighted to see the memorials you created including photos of Walter A and Minnie Dietz Spencer. I would like your permission to add the photos into FamilySearch Trees.
Are you a relative? I am from the Wint side of Minnie's family buried in St John Cemetery. We moved from South Lyon to Houston, TX avoiding all your snow. But will miss the spring and the genealogy sources there.
Thanks again for a job well done on the memorials.
Jan Wint DeRosia

I want to thank you so much for photographing the headstone of my brother and father in Ypsilanti High. My Brother had a very difficult life, having survived brain surgery at age6 followed by years of various disablities. As you can imagine, it was very hard on both my parents as well as the whole family. If you ever hear the song "Raindrops Keep falling on my head" from Butch Cassidy movie. After the surgery he was given a music box that played that song. We were on our way up north and the song came on the radio. He spoke the 1st word he had spoken since the surgery. Just thought you would like to know a little about him.
