|Most of our information comes from Newspaper; Mortuaries or some type of historical Document.|
A no marker means that we took it from a mortuary record and at time of burial no marker was placed at grave. A tombstone or marker may have been placed at a later date.
If we have contributor link listed; that data came as a request by someone after the original record was added.
We try to make changes as soon as we get the data but sometimes because of the number of requests we are backlogged. I have found requests in Spam mail. If we do not make the changes within a reasonable amount of time; please resend request and state 2nd request.
we try to check link requests before making changes if we dont have proof of relationship.
occasionally we have had requests to link wrong parents or spouses.
Please let us know if you see errors or typos.
We try to be accurate but sometimes it is late or we have trouble seeing a record or stone and sometimes we are just human and just cant type :) or read we appreciate all the people who spend their time working on the records. Hopefulliy this work will benefit generations to come.
Again please remember we are human and we do make mistakes. We do get a lot of requests for links; additional information and corrections,
What is a cenotaph? How do I have a memorial designated as a cenotaph?
A cenotaph is a tomb or a monument erected in honor of a person or group of persons whose remains are buried elsewhere. It can also be the initial marker for a person who has since been interred elsewhere.
To add a cenotaph, create a memorial just like any other. Then email firstname.lastname@example.org with a link to the memorial and a message to mark it as a cenotaph.

To Whom It May Concern:
Sometime back, I left a message regarding the information that is posted about my grandfather, Madison (Mat) Govan Henderson. I realize the death certificate states my great grandmother's maiden name was Wilson, however, the information is incorrect. Her last name was definitely "Tenneyson." My great grandmother's father's name was Zaccariah Tenneyson and her mother's name was Mahala Tenneyson.
Also, my grandfather's date of birth is incorrect on the death certificate. He and his twin brother, Lewis A Henderson were born in 1864. I realize from my own personal knowledge, many times information is incorrect because they were not sure exactly what was the correct info. At the time of my grandfather's death, he was living with one of my father's sister, and the information on the certificate was given by a relative by marriage.
I intended to contact the state of South Carolina to see what I need to do to correct the errors.
My concern about the wrong information is that if someone is researching genealogy that would overlook the information regarding my grandfather.
Also, all my information regarding my grandmother's maiden name can be verified on several death certificates of her adult children and numerous census report prior to her marriage and during her marriage to my granwhen she was

Hi, Thanks for linking the Stowes. I'll try to be short. Today, I was checking my pending approval list and noticed both William McGill Stowe and his twin brother, John Edward Stowe, had "no information" listed for their entry so I deleted both entries and was going to start over, thinking I had made a mistake in my first request. However, when I went to their memorial pages, I saw that you had already approved the info I had sent. Thank you and I sure hope my deleting the requests from my pending approval list didn't somehow make the links you had just done get deleted. I will check each for a few days and resend the info if necessary. Thanks for all your hard work.

|Larry D. McSwain||gravesite|
The gravesite shown on find-a-grave for Thomas Keith McSwain cannot be right, his birth and death dates do not even come close to being right.
Even the birth and death dates right there on find-a-grave next to picture of stone are not the same, so the stone for Thomas Keith McSwain is not his.
Mistakes are made and, I still appreciate the effort by those that looked for a gravesite for Thomas Keith McSwain. Larry

Where did you get information that James Ellis is her father? None of the grandchildren have that information. And these Ellis' are only related to their immediate family. They are not related to James Ellis of the Gramlin House in Blacksburg. Loy Ellis, her brother, my grandfather has never spoke of James Ellis.

Hi, I found 2 burials plots for Robert Clary on Find a Grave. Can you help me. They both have the same dates, but the other one has a tombsone and his parents are buried there. Please clear this up for me. Thanks,
