|Bio and Links|
Besides working on my own family tree I'm building trees here and on Ancestry.com to link the men, women and children buried at the state hospitals in Morganton and Goldsboro and at the Caswell Training Center in Kinston, NC and Letchworth Village in NY to their loved ones.|
I grew up in Greenville county, SC, first in the city of Greenville, then at the foot of Glassy Mountain in the "Dark Corner" where my maternal grandmother and her parents and grandparents were born. My mother, Anne Ballenger King McCuen, worked for decades as a meticulous land historian in upper SC and published several research texts. My father, William Garrison McCuen, MD worked for decades as an internist/general practitioner caring for many of the upstate SC residents in their homes, hospitals, the Veterans' clinic and his office.
Now I am in the foothills of NC, but enjoy maintaining family property near Glassy Mtn.
You hereby have my express permission to use ANY photo I have posted to Find a Grave for your own purposes - but I would appreciate a credit notation as the source should you repost it on your family tree, for this reflects the efforts made in preserving the record and may also provide a link to others interested in that person or cemetery.
I "inherited" a number of memorials posted by Buck Buchanan who introduced me to FAG and will happily transfer them to family. Just send a SAC stating your relationship and I'll be pleased to turn them over to your care.
As for those of you who assist me in making these memorials useful and respectful, "thanks" and please keep your helpful edits coming.
A lot of conflicts might be avoided among us if each of us will accept and act as if this is about those who've gone before and NOT about us.

I'm hoping to find records for John William Hunsucker who is my great grandfather, his son John Flippen is my grandfather, his son Ernest Eugene is my father. Broughton Hospital is where he is interred. Would you happen to know if they have any records from 1912?
Thank you for his bio.
if you wish to see the family tree at ancestry it is public. Ernest Eugene Hunsucker 1931 in S.C.

Hello, Just an FYI, I received your request, not ignoring. I understand F to Davis. I have found myself with his ancestors, researching them, tangled, and well, ... Going back to the F, anything to help add? I can not justify an F either know, except the carving. Lost in time. The ancestry tree is public, see my FAGr profile. Greg
|Barbara||Alice R. Payne|
I believe that Alice R. Payne is the daughter of Thomas Hale Nail and Mary Janette Allred. She is listed as their eldest child in the 1880 Census, where they lived Pipers Gap, Carroll Co., Virginia.
Also, according to "Virginia, Select Marriages, 1785-1940," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org, Alice R. Nail married Martin S. Payne on 24 Dec 1893, in Carroll Co., Virginia.

|Record Hunter||Just want to Know|
Hello again. Would you please answer a question for me. As required by Find A Grave Rules, we can no longer scan obituaries to memorials. I now rewrite the obituaries in my own words, not verbatim and excluded any living persons, as required. Do you still want me to send obits this way. If you do not wish to enter such info, would you please let me know so I will not bother you anymore. According to Find A Grave Rules we can still scan death certificates, is it alright to add death certificates to your memorials? Thanks a regards.
