I want to say "hello" to everyone that takes the time to sit and do this for the one's that walked this earth with us and before us.. I think it is a wonderful way to spend my time to respect those in my family tree, and others. I can't think of a better tribute to a loved one..thank goodness for this site !|
I wanted to touch on a subject I have been hearing volunteers complaining about lately; and I want to voice my opinion on this issue.. I am a Volunteer.. if I go out and take a gravestone photo for someone else and put it on this site; then I consider that picture to be a gift.. just like my time, gas, and energy to go do it is a gift. If the requester of the photo wants to add that picture on their family trees, that's ok with me; as far as I am concerned; that picture does not belong to me; it was a gift.. use it anyway you want to; I don't care; if you want to give Findagrave.com or me credit; that's nice and respectful to do. The bottom line is that I consider this as my time of doing the Lord's work.. and I give it and the photo's freely.. Gail

|Nancy Sicotte||RE: Parents of Amos Brown|
I'm sorry, I can't help you with this name. Amos is not in the family of my Orrin Brown, son of Eseck Brown and Ruth Hunt, (all from Newport NY) as far as I know.
|Laurie Wilson||Hattie Emerick|
I filled your grave request for Hattie. She is buried next to a Helen M. Evans Birth yr. 1923. There is no death date and a Charles L. Evans. Hope this helps.
|DBT||RE: Thanks bunches !|
Nellis/Rickard are in McIntosh Cemetery.
FYI - I know there is some confusion about the name of the cemetery. It is Mcintosh Cemetery aka Ohio Cemetery. There is another cemetery about a half mile away on the opposite side of the road, which is the original Ohio cemetery.
McIntosh Cemetery is at:
and Ohio Cemetery is at:
Both are in the Town of Ohio. I used the coordinates to make sure I had the right cemeteries. There are no signs on either cemetery.

I could post a photo but there is no stone on that lot.

|SkipAZ||RE: So Sorry|
No problem - happy to look. I did spot another Egan couple - James F. & wife Margaret L. Egan. I added memorials and photos for them - perhaps they are related. I am in St. Mary's often - I'll keep my eyes open for the Egan name.

|Edward Adams||Ralph K.T. Larson|
thank you for posting his picture. He was married to my grandfather's first cousin.
|Nathan Haines||RE: Thanks a bunch !|
You're welcome. Glad I could help.
I have never heard of Klean Logik. I am pretty skeptical of cleaners. There are a lot of things that some people use to try and clean gravestones with, that have chemicals in them, and it works real good for the short term but what they do is eat into the stone and accelerate its deterioration, which is not good!
|Nathan Haines||Emmett Nelson|
I got pics per your request for Emmett Nelson's grave. His gravestone has a rust stain on it. I don't know of any way to get that off the stone? I would guess the only way to get it off would do more harm to the stone than good?! I trimmed the grass out of the way and washed the dirt off of it anyway so you could see all of it.
Thank you very much for the additional information which I have added to her memorial. This cemetery is one of the most beautifully maintained I have ever seen, as you can see from the photos. Would you like me to transfer management of her memorial?

|Shirley I Shawver Nees||Jacob Gergen's wife at Evergreen Cem|
Hi Gail! I'm like you, the pictures I've put on
Find a Grave are for relatives to be able to have as long as they are not used for money.
I think it is a wonderful site and helps people a lot.
Now I have a request, if I might. Jacob Gergen
is at Evergreen Cemetey and his wife is on the
same stone, but she is not listed nor mentioned
on his. she's my grt grandfather's sister.
Could yu please connect her to Jacob and put her on? Her info is: Leah Enterline Gergen Born
15 Feb 1856 Died 19 Nov 1920. You might just want to use the year. Thanks in advance.
