I'm a student at Marshall so I don't get into this much during school. I got interested in genealogy because there are so few people with my last name anymore. |
If anyone has any idea where the Keck cemetery in Branchland, Lincoln Co., WV is, then please let me know. I've looked around the area its supposed to be according to this website and according to topo maps, but I still can't find it.
Feel free to use any pictures I've added

Hi Josh !
Hey you have done great listing so many Hewlett graves here on Find A Grave. Thanks!
But... there is a problem with the entries on the Hewlett cemetery near Fallsburg. There are two separate cemeteries, which are miles apart, listed together on this Find A Grave cemetery.
One cemetery is just off the Fallsburg/Fuller road. There are about a dozen graves there.
The other is near Jerry Riffe ridge, with Hardin Ballard Hewlett's line and the Burchett's. It is older, and a larger cemetery.
On Find A Grave these cemeteries are combined.
I did not submit these entries, so cannot edit.
Just for your info!
|Claudia Rene Christman||Highland Cemetery|
My name is Rene Christman andI was looking for two grave markers in Highland Cemetery in Huntington. The death certificates say this is where they are buried. The name on the two graves are: Venona May Christman b. 14 March 1938 d. 24 April 1938 and her twin sister: Leona Fay Christman b. 14 March 1938 d. 25 April 1938. Parents were John William Christman and Mary Edith Mynes Christman. I am new to find a grave and am learning how to use it. Thank you for your help, Rene.

If this is your family then we are family!!! :) I remember going up to this cemetery when I was younger with my Great Uncle Waitman. Although I cant remember the directions, I would to put some flowers on my Granny Merrells Grave!!
|Amber Hunt||Daisy Burchett|
Hello Josh! My name is Amber Hunt. Daisy Burchett was my grandmother's aunt. Her brother, George, was my great grandfather. I found the picture you added of Daisy's grave and was wondering if you had any information on her half sister, Lettie. The story in our family is that Joseph had a first wife named Sarah Dotson who disappeared when Lettie was very young. My grandmother grew up in that area and may be able to help you find the cemetery if you are still looking. My grandmother is Florence Jean (Burchett) Green.

Great to hear from you! Sorry so long in reply. I somehow missed your post!
I am also descended from Henry Birch Hewlett.
Are you on facebook? I have a fb page dedicated to his family. I will add you there!
The cemetery is a special place. I would love to meet you there, or give directions. (I even have an aerial photo if you need it!)
How do you descend from Henry Birch Hewlett?

Josh, I was updating some Find A Grave memorials that I manage and noted your page. Check your regular mail for additional information on the Keck family. Scot_Lady

I photographed Philip Keck's headstone today. While I was there, I noticed numerous other Kecks. I also photographed them. When I returned home, I found that these Kecks were not even listed as being buried in this cemetery. I created memorial pages for them.
