Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm Pam.
I live in Stillwater, OK.
I love doing research on Payne County, Oklahoma and surrounding counties.

Due to the death of DonZas, I am managing the memorials in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater that he posted. I will be keeping all of the memorials that are in my family tree. And, believe me, there are alot of them.

However, if you wish for me to transfer a memorial to you, send EACH request through the "EDIT" - "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" Link on EACH person's memorial. Please allow time, because I get alot of requests each day.

REMEMBER the Find-A-Grave RULE states:
Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Uncle, Aunts, Cousins, nephews, mother's brother's first cousins, well, these don't count as a direct relative. And, yes, this part is included in the rules.

E-mail me if you have a question or if you have a request that I haven't already uploaded.

I have 2 books called "Cimarron Family Legends" vol 1 and 2. These books contain information that has been compiled by families that settled all around Stillwater and the surrounding towns of the Cimarron River in Payne County. I can look up information on families if you will send me the family name and any other information that I can use. Just e-mail me with the request.

Also, I have photographed and transcribed Ripley Oak Park Cemetery and Mt. Hope Cemetery near Ripley, OK. I don't transfer these memorials, but I will add the information and links if you ask me.

Vina Mabel Duck
From my research I have found that Vina Mabel Duck and her sister Emma were Bicks. Emma married a man with the surname Wise. On Emma's death, Vina and her husband, William W. Duck, adopted Emma's son, James Elmer, who was born prior to her marriage to Wise .

Isaac T. Hesser
Pammy, here is supporting evidence for the request to remove Isaac T. Hesser's current father, whom is most likely actually his brother.

420. ISAAC THOMAS HESSER (3), b. November 18, 1836 in Iowa; d. April 20, 1906; was the youngest of fourteen children born to John Conrad Hesser (2) and Sarah Edgeroin; m. Sarah Fox; res. Oklahoma. A letter from his son (Peter C. Hesser, Glencoe, Oklahoma, dated April 5, 1943) states, "My father became enstranged from his family by reason of politics and religious differences about the time of the War of the Rebellion. From conversation with him, I learned that his people, as he often spoke of them, were Republicans and Baptists, but he marrying one Sarah Fox, whose father was a Rebel Democrate, and he, Isaac T. Hesser (3), and his wife, Sarah J., were converted and became members of the Church of Christ during the struggle between the States. Father migrated from Iowa where he was born to Missouri, from Missouri to Kansas, from Kansas to Nebraska, from Nebraska to Oklahoma, where he died April 20, 1906 at the age of 69 years. Father and mother reared thirteen children, nine boys and four girls." Isaac Thomas Hesser (3) was an ordained Baptist minister, as was one of his sons.

I am the grt-grandson of Isaac Thomas Hesser and James Langford Mathews. All of the Hessers (56 I think) in Fairlawn are my relatives, and I need to add bios/correction/pictures to many of them. Can you transfer them to me!

hagan family
Hi Pammy: I read your bio where you said you had abook about Cimarron family legions vol 1 & 2. I have been searching for 40 some odd years for information about my Bio. Father James Owen Hagan which was born in Payne Co. appx 1908 between perkins & Stillwater. I was adopted but have received everything about my adoption & have met my half-sibleys but they only met my father a couple of times. I know he had a sister named Viola who I was named after. Could you see if you can find a family with that name-I once was told there was a family with that name that had alot of children living between Perkins & stillwater in 1910. Thanks for any help you could give me. martha

Henry Grotheer Sr Family
Hi Pam,

I found this picture and I believe this may be a portrait of Katie Grotheer's family. The names match up in my family tree. Katie was born in Missouri and was in Pittsburg, KS before she married in 1888. Are you related to this family? Katie (Grotheer) married my Great grandfather Julius Schumann.

Thank you,

Kathy Schumann

Pace Family
Hi Pam! Thank you for taking care of the families...The Pace family is great grandparents, grandparents, great uncles, etc... to me. I am new to find a grave but would like to make sure my family info is all correct. I lived in the Payne county area for over 25 years. I have been sending edits in hopes that it will help. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

RE: 11737442 Colleen Murphy
Thanks Pammy....I am sorry about your loss as well. never gets easier does it? Until recently there were two memorials for Colleen and I requested from the administrators that they be merged. I was really pleased that they did so and added her photo on the page that you maintain. Plus they kept our sponsorship; that's all that I wanted... just knowing that is accurately on the site is perfect. Again thank you.
