My mother Marzell Hartbarger Duncan was the genealogist in the family. I was always interested in what she discovered but did not have the time or access to pursue it. She was doing it the old fashion way, contacting distant relatives by snail mail and asking questions. She would have loved the convenience of the web, but she loved talking to kinfolks!|
After she died in 1992, my father shipped all of her records to me and I was hooked. I have dabbled off and on since, primarily lookups on the web. I have made a few field trips to Georgia and Kentucky looking for tombstones and researching in the county libraries.
Recently I completed a family history book for my wife's family "The Schork-Dougherty Families of Louisville, KY" I presented it to my wife and her siblings Christmas 2008.
I have received so much help from others on the web, I would be happy to return the favor by offering my help to those researching in Lehigh County (Allentown), PA.

On the one near Newborn, from what Ms. Forte notes in the directions, it must not be the one I was thinking of. She is saying to take Post Road out of Monticello. This road dead ends a good distance from Newborn and there is a lot of miles in between that and Monticello. Have you possibly been out to this Henderson Cemetery? If so, could you tell me where it is?

Thanks so much Michael for the information. I believe I have found the one near Newborn which I agree is in deplorable condition. I passed slowly in the car and will have to take someone with me if I photograph since the neighborhood looks a little scary. Thanks again, Rebecca

It would be easy to change Gaston and W. P. Henderson's memorials to another Henderson Cemetery, that I could create if you like. I just need to know where it is. I need to know what city it is closest to. Newborn is actually in Newton Co.

Hi Micheal, I noticed that in the past you have taken quite a few photos of graves located in the Henderson Cemetery in Jasper County, Georgia. I noticed that quite a few remaining memorials listed under this cemetery have no photos and I wondered if you had taken pics of all the graves at this site or if there were still some to be done. If there are, please be so kind as to let me know and also, if you remember the location, I would appreciate it. The reason I am asking is that often people keep adding memorials which they think might be at a certain location and never remove them even though all graves have been photographed. If you have taken pictures of all the graves there, another trip would be wasted.
Thanks so much for your help.

I live in Erie and am working on a third volume of grave locations for veterans of the War of 1812. I would like your permission to use the picture you posted of Bartholomew Balliet's grave in this compilation. I will cite you as the source.

Thank you so much, Michael, for your peseverance and help. I wouldn't know if those other Lenharts are connected or not, so go ahead and make your own sites for them if you like.
Best wishes and much appreciation,
