|I have been doing my families genealogy for 50 years and sometimes it has landed me in hot water when I find out things that shock them. lol My response is "Hey, don't shoot the messenger". God bless all those who man these grave sites.|

Hello Susan, I saw a note on one of the FindAGrave pages where you had a lot of Pattillo info.I am trying to find the father & mother of Alfred Cato Pattillo, b.1805 m. Catherine Shelbach 1829. The only thing I can come up with on Ancestry is "Littleberry" Pattillo the son of George Alexander Pattillo but George did not have a son by that name. Can you possibly help?

Susan, thank you for the note you left on Find-a-Grave on Frederick Blanchard, my great great great grandfather. He is one of my most interesting ancestors. He had three wives and apparently his last wife was younger than his first several children. My great great grandmother, Phebe Catherine Blanchard, was born in 1845 when her father was already in his seventies . . . and he had two more children after that.
Only some years after I found where his wife, Elender "Nelly" Truitt, is buried was I told where Frederick is buried. On one of my many trips to Burlington, I drove up Highway 62, past Union Ridge Road, and found the little cemetery on the right side of the road. I parked my car, got out with camera and notebook in hand, and started searching for an entrance to the wrought iron fence. I emerged from the cemetery just in time to see the Alamance County sheriff drive up. The neighbors had seen my out-of-state license plate and saw me disappear into this abandoned cemetery, and called the sheriff. Clearly I was a dangerous criminal with my camera and notebook.

Susan, I have just find out that my 6th great grandfather is Robert Barclay III through his son Samuel Barclay. I would love for you and I to share any information we have about him, his wife, and their parents. Thanks, Jamie

Susan, I would love to hear more about your connection to the Barclays. Do you have an ancestory page or may I contact you by e-mail? Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Laura
