Genealogy interests; family names include Holbrook, Colvin, Baker, Waite[DAR Patriot in this line], Kresse, Bruggeman, Krueger, Abraham & Quiram. My husband's family; Ostrich, Pash & Dennison. |
I keep records for two cemeteries, the Decoria Cemetery, Blue Earth Co., MN [my home area; and the Red Oak Grove Cemetery, Cedar Co., IA [my current locale].
TRANSFERS: I am always happy to make any changes or corrections to a memorial I have created. I will make transfers [with the exception of the two above mentioned cemeteries] and only within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave.
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
Due to the recent increase in abuses of transfer requests, I may not transfer to you if the number of memorials that you manage is similar or greater than the number that you have contributed.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE CHANGE REQUESTS ON THIS PAGE; USE THE EDIT FUNCTION ON THE MEMORIAL.

|JFerg||Jemima-please delete marker picture|
We were at the Clay Cemetery yesterday and confirmed that the small "Jemima" marker photo listed on 22624320 does not belong with our Jemima. This small marker is located across the drive from our Jemima and with another family. The photos by Cahill and Flynn are correct.
Thank you for deleting this photo from our Jemima Orr's Find A Grave.

|Charles Ellis Delameter||J. W. Delameter, Misspelling|
Hello. I'm researching my family (Delameter) and discovered your Find-A-Grave information on J.W. Delameter (Clarence Cemetery). I note from the headstone however that the spelling of the name is shown as Delamater rather than Delameter. I would suggest the reference be changed. Thank you

Lori, this man is my wife's 4th great grandfather. We would prefer to manage the memorial. If you have any additional information about him that we could add please send it to me.

Hi Lori. Hope you had a great winter and are getting back into Find A Grave with the return of nice weather. I would like to tie up some loose ends respecting Decoria Cemetery.
Please see http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=rapList&rapMode=cemetery&rapCemeteryId=82158.
There are currently 8 requests, and I believe at least 6 of them are for unmarked graves, since they have plot numbers, but APPARENTLY no grave. I would confirmation that these are all unmarked graves.
The remaining two: one called "larsen" (105302687) created by you (should probably be deleted), and Samuel Lyman (102903557), whom I suspect is NOT buried in Decoria, since no plot is given. Again, I'm looking for confirmation.
Now see http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=82158&df=np.
There are still 127 folks with no stone. I didn't check them all, but every one in my random sample had a plot number. Are they ALL unmarked graves, or might some still have photos? IT would be nice to finish up once and for all. Thanks again.
Maren Larsen Fjeld was born Maren Elisabeth Isaksdatter Fjeld in Hole Parish, Buskerud Amt, Norway. She was one of 9 children to Isak Christensen Fjeld and Marte Christensdatter Moe. Her husband was Ole Larsen Fjeld. They were born on separate sections of the Fjeld farms. Their son Hans Andreas and daughter Anne were born in Norway. They emigrated in 1854.

Did you receive my request for transfer of Walter L. Mackey, my grandfather, and his wife Rozetta?
Please give this request your consideration.
Are you related to the Swartout family--you sure put a lot of information down there--if you are related there are other families with pictures on ancestry.com that you might be interested in.
