West Australian born n bred, I have a keen interest in genealogy as well as photography.|
Australia is a young country and was built by convict labour & those people and their descendants have now passed on & their gravesites are unkempt & the headstones are either damaged or have been moved to be used as footpaths or walkway walls. I will try & preserve the memory of them here.I am not out to offend people but to immortalise their existence & your loved ones through headstone photos.
God Bless x x

First, I think it is absolutely wonderful the way that Australia is/has cleaned up the cemeteries - I saw a picture of my Grandmother's stone before and after, absolutely brilliant, and I just wish my country (Canada) would do the same.
I have 3 relatives 139579003, 139579957, and 139603507 who are in Karrakatta Cemetery, and should you have a photo of them, I would be very grateful if you could put them on their Find a Grave Memorials.
I have not been able to find Joseph (Joshep)born c.1842) Randle, husband of Kate (Katherine) Randle who is in Karrakatta, and if you have any information on him, I would be very appreciative. He was a prison guard, I believe, either that or a police person of some sort.

He parents are listed as Henry Eyre and Margaret Potts. This is incorrect. Her parents are Robert Henry Eyre and Charlotte Boyle

I stumbled across this site, and was amazed to see a photo of the headstone and newspaper account of my Gran's 1st husbands death.
Did someone request the photo, or do you take photos of any grave and submit them to this site?

Thanks for the pic of the Mitchell/Giblett grave, though unfortunately the Mitchell headstone is too far away and I can't read the dates properly. :( Bit of a shame, but I appreciate your time and effort. I'm glad to see the grave regardless. Good to see it's being well looked after. :)
