Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born March 10, 1940 in Hogansville, Troup County, Georgia to Herman Hanson Mattingly and Mary Lee Oma Crowe and the second eldest of seven children to Herman and six to Mary.

My primary genealogical interests include Mattingly and Crow/e and connecting lines. I am descended from Cezar Mattingly but research all of the Mattingly name. From the Crow side, I am descended from James Crow (1713) and his second wife, Grace Denson.

If you see a memorial created by me and the individual concerned is of your immediate line, but not of mine, I am happy to transfer that memorial to you in accordance with Findagrave rules. If you are interested in a memorial outside Findagrave limitations and you have significant information that will improve the memorial, please us the "EDIT KEY" and I will make those changes.

Thanks to all who have contributed to these memorials especially the corrections as accuracy is important.

I wish her husband's record had that info on it! Sometimes, they do, but not on his. :o(

RE: Johm Robert Mattingly
At least one family tree thinks her last name was Bohren.. Found as Mary Bohren in the 1900 census, b. Dec 1886 living in Olney, IL. Don't know if that's her or not.

The funeral records I'm going through only go up to 1952, which is where I found John, so she died too late for me to find any info about her from them.

Just saw you managed his parents memorials, and thought you'd like to have his since the funeral records aren't indexed, unless someone came across his marker in the cemetery, nobody would probably ever know where he was. I assume his wife is there, too. Woodlawn is a large cemetery, and if you'd like a photo, you'll need to call them and get the plot location for the volunteer who is working that area. They won't give out plot locations to her. **sigh**

Thank You
Hi William,

Thank you so much for all your help with my family tree. It's hard to describe, but I feel so much more at peace now - just knowing where I come from. Family DNA tests have overwhelmingly confirmed the paper trail, with nearly 500 known ancestor matches.
(Ironically, one of the top 3 was a Mattingly, lol!)

You went above and beyond, and it is much appreciated!

All the best,

Mannix files

I transferred files to you a couple months ago, that evidently were not of interest to you. I certainly don't want to be the cause of a headache for you, so I might suggest throwing them right back at me.

Sorry for the blunder.

I don't know. You may wish to inquire with her family. Mrs. Ashby is not buried in the Moorman Cemetery.

Find A Grave Memorial# 125291324
Mr. Mattingly,

I have attempted to contact you regarding the memorial created for Mrs. Patricia Ashby via public message, email, and the Find-a-Grave edit page. Mrs. Ashby is not buried in the Moorman Family Cemetery.

My last email message was sent to you on September 12. Since you have not responded to email or messages on this site, I will proceed with contacting for their review.

This is disappointing since I would assume that as contributors, we have a responsibility and a duty to enter information that is correct.

Bernard Xavier Owens

My name is Alexis Sullivan. I'm leaving a message about Bernard Xavier Owens. Bernard was my maternal great-grandfather. I was hoping that you could transfer his memorial to me, I would really appreciate it.
