Bio Photo I was born, raised, and educated in Texas. I served in the U.S. Navy, worked for the Virginia Employment Commission in Portsmouth, Virginia, the Baltimore City Police Department in Maryland, and finally, The Methodist Hospital (now named Houston Methodist) in Houston. Upon my retirement, I moved back to my hometown.

I love to read old newspapers at the Library of Congress website, and today I ran across a little wedding announcement for Jesse Harris and Rose Thompson [sic] in the El Paso Herald of 11/11/1916. It sounds like it was a lovely affair. I thought you might like to see the article.

RE: Jack Morse picture
Hello Ruth,
I was happy to add the photo. I would like to update it when the stone is actually engraved with her death date. I will make a note of it but if I forget please remind me. Sometimes it takes weeks before the stone is engraved.

Wishing you well,
Mi Jo

Calvin Crain
Hello Ruth,
Thanks for your proposed edit. Did you look at the actual DC? It has his DOD as Jan. 7, 1912, but if you look at the date the doctor attended him is Jan. 6, 1913 and he signed it at the bottom 1913. See the child's age on the DC. I think 1913 is actually correct.
Your thought?
Brad
