My husband Larry and I love working together to build our family tree. We feel blessed when we can add records to findagrave that help people find their family, too.
We love that we found this website. It has assisted in solving some mysteries.
FIND A GRAVE CONDITIONS FOR REQUESTING TRANSFERS:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Second, transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Third, if you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please contact the Find A Grave member who created the memorial.
Quin Family Tombstones May I have your permission to add the tombstone photos that you took of the Quin Family in Brandon Cemetery in Rankin County to my family tree? I always give credit to the photographer when I add any pictures. Thank you.
RE: Two errors to be corrected Thanks for your help in correcting the information. I have not found any connection between the two families, though I have seen the name in my research. My grandparents never talked about knowing anyone in New York nor did my mother and my aunts and uncles. Maybe I will find a connection through the DNA search through Ancestry.com.
This is the memorial for my uncle's wife, Dolores K Ovnick Nauheimer. 1) Her maiden name is spelled Ovnik. See the obituary. 2) At the bottom, her spouse is listed as John Nauheimer. But as it is listed in the obituary, her husband is my uncle Robert Nauheimer. John is his brother. John was never married to Dolores. Indeed, my uncle Robert is still alive.
I would appreciate your making these two corrections.
Wallace Joyner #80674142 Thank you for removing the requested info from this memorial. I do appreciate your efforts to document cemetery records. Please transfer this memorial to me as this is my father and the record is still incomplete.
RE: Your Message to Me I went to the page this evening and someone has merged the two and you are now listed as the person that created the page. I can not add anything to the page now unless I go through you. I do not know how to merge. I went to the page listing all the names that I had added to Findagrave and she is no longer listed under the names I have added. Her memorial #is 117787041. The page also has some strange information on it now. It says the link to her husband was given by #47676267. When I looked that number up, it says it is a person who died several years before Van died. I am not sure what is going on with the page now. Any information or suggestions from you are welcomed.
Elsie Van Everett Echols Ridgeway Please transfer my Mother-in-law,Van back to me. I found out you had merged my entry with yours. My husband would really like to have his mother's memorial back with immediate family control so we can add to the memorial without having to go through another person. Thank you for all you have added to her memorial, Dianne
