RE: James W King
Sorry to take so long to reply. To be honest I have no absolutely definitive proof that his middle name was Wesley. Several family trees on do list it that way. In addition, his father's name was Green Wesley King and he went by Wesley. The Wiley on his son's death certificate is not a totally reliable source. I am a professional historian and my best guess judgement, in the absence of definitive proof, tells me it is Wesley. My interest was primarily in his son, James Maxie King. In researching him I traced his lineage back 6 generations.

Garner Cemetery
Penny, My Father passed away 21 Oct. 2014 and my brother and I have been going thru his papers. In the process, we found Minnie H. Garner in Grove Hill and followed that to the Garner Cemetery. Is this a public place that we could visit or do we need to receive permission? My Father's site is listed as #340017168 on this website and we are just now trying to enter Rev. James Samuel Garner II, interned at Devotion Gardens, Mullins, SC, into this website. Any comments you might have would be appreciated. We are now up to J S Garner VI, so the family is really interested!
