Bio and Links
Bio Photo My hobby is genealogy, gardening and just being outdoors and scrapbooking. I have three sons, two step-daughters, three step-grandsons, 1 step-granddaughter, and a special little "granddaughter" puppy that we love like crazy. Recently we became "Great-grandparents" to a wonderful little girl, Emma. I was born in PA but I now live in OHIO. My husband's father's family are part Sicilian & part Swedish/my husband's mother's family came from Wisconsin with mostly a German background but also English and Irish too. I don't have enough time to devote to my research since going back to work full time but I try to add to my tree and work on other's family trees whenever possible. Some of my family are from: Ireland, Germany, to West Virginia & PA.

RE: Baker family
Oh my goodness! I was just writing to another researcher about you, wondering if they knew if you were well!!!! So glad to hear from you! Carol, we are related as far as I know now! I'm just astounded! I didn't check this email until now. I use it for family mostly (only). Wow...
where do I start? We'd been in contact back in 2011 or so... But, now I have obits, Death Certificates, and so much else which fits with what you have! I'm working with mainly two cousins of ours!

One of Rev. Perrin Baker's lines is supposed to join the Baker Y-DNA Project! I'm too excited!

Can you email me privately at, or same at gmail?
Great, if so!
(I guess this is "Public"...)

But, this is almost what I would refer to as "Divine Providence"! You contacted me, especially at this moment!

Source of Information
What is the source of information for Helen M. Case, born 1906; died 1969?
I looked in the Social Security Death Index, did not find her.

Beulah McCarthy
Thanks for your reply. I did some more research last night and found that she remarried 4/15/1957 to a peter Clemente in Cook County, ILL. Also found her text version death record on I guess I didn't check there before. She died Oct 27, 1983 Chicago, Cook County, IL and is listed as buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery. I think I found Novella. Do you know what happened to their daughter, Greta? I completely loose her in research.

John Fife Sr. in the Bethel Cemetery
Dear Ms. Taylor-Lanza

Since, it is obvious to almost anyone that John Fife Sr. couldn't be the subject in the picture. There were no photographs available in his day, you know.

I have given great thought to this matter failing to understand why it matters to you. In my branch of his family, we love children. I just can't believe an ancestor being upset to share his space with a descendant. I certainly wouldn't.

I do thank you for your polite request though. While I have you, did you ever straighten out the differences in places of birth between our sites? I look forward to your reply and please have a nice day.

RE: Reese Thompson
Glad to help. Just paying forward as it was a volunteer who found my great grandfather in a cemetery in Hicksville, OH that got me in to photoing. Great grandpa had been "lost" to our family for over 106 years.

Updates for several relatives

I was wondering if you could update the listings of my Gr-Gr-Grandparents on Find-a-grave. The updates needed are as follows:

William James Fife #1059111, please add a link to his parents John #10594007 and Mary Adams Fife #10594034. Also link to his William James' wife Mary Caldwell Fife #10594124 (married in 1867).

Mary C. Caldwell Fife #10594124, please link to her parents William Caldwell #37526863 and Rebecca McMillan Caldwell # 37527062.

Thank you,

Scott Fife

Thank you for the transfers of the Fife's in Bethel Cemetery. That is greatly appreciated. Remember in the future if you would like to transfer any additional Fife's or relatives of Fife's, I would be glad to manage them for you.

Thank you very much again.
