Dear Nan, It was so late when I sent the email last night, and I had hit send without even signing my name, then I looked at Druscilla and Mercy's memorial and realized it was not you. So I really put my foot in my mouth on that one. I think families suffered the same dysfunction as they do today, but women and children suffered the most and felt stuck were they were. It was interesting to see that Mary their mother was still alive till 1913 and did not have the girls with her from 1880 up till 1910. Makes you wonder if she was an alcoholic, had TB or was plain unstable. Even divorce was such a shameful thing in a family in those days. Thanks for your response. Carrie C.

Thanks for completing the edit/suggestion. Your mention of your ancestor Jonas Delong, peaked my curiosity. After a bit of research I realized that we had corresponded back in 2001 about the same Jonas. Unfortunately I am still stuck on him as you are. /Roy

Nan, It would be appreciated if you would transfer.
I hope to start linking some more people. William
M. and Valentine Irvin are my great grand father's
brothers. His sister, Sytha Harrison is in Forest
Hills. I did not find William's first wife,
Margaret Griffiths Irvin, when I walked the cemetery
last week. Maybe on our next trip to Gatlinburg

Please link my great grand uncle with the
William Montgomery Irvin #81484212
His mother: Jane McKinney Goan Irvin #100292087
1st wife: Margaret Griffiths Irvin #21307996
2nd wife: Martha Jane Rogers Irvin #120549584
I walked the cemetery today taking pictures but
did not find Margaret Irvin's marker. I would
like to link him with my great Grand father in
Texas but the person in charge of that memorial
has not been co-operative.

and I want to thank you very much as well! I am happy to know about his burial and that of his 2nd wife as well! Which newspapers were you looking at? I am trying to find out what happened to their daughter Jeanette Landon as well as another child of his from his first marriage John Oliver Landon
|Leona Zimmerman||RE: Martha Stevens Fritz|
Hey Nan, I found these pics posted on Ancestry.com for William S. Fritz, a.k.a. Delno Fritz. I'll add them to your memorial. Is there any info you are looking for? I have obits., marriage license info and headstones for most of the Price and Fritz family. My family tree is private on Ancestry.com, but I'm willing to invite anyone as long as I know they are related and not some crackpot out there.
