I am Cherie Lynn Knight Jones. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the regular family activities while growing up was going to visit the family graves keeping them clean and planting flowers. I learned how to find the ancestors and the cousins, visiting local county records offices, searching through dusty basements and then using phone books and dropping by the local newspaper to find the relies – dead and living. I worked in an Alabama cemetery for five years and then went on to become a journalist and photographer, living in Asia, the Middle East and finally Canada before returning to the United States. Now I research and enjoy family history. As I have found the ancestors and the cousins through the years, more and more I began to see how all people are related. Whether by blood or marriage in ancestry, whether by places or events in history, or whether by a common haplo-group thousands or tens of thousands of years ago we are all connected in life and in death – and on findagrave.|
I have had great pleasure in finding ancestors for my children and theirs, and my husband and immediate family, and all my cousins. The Virtual Cemeteries are for all of yall. You will recognize who is who in the list.
For my children: you see my lines now split into my paternal and my maternal. But you also see Knight that I have made for my Knight Cousins who are not related to Mz Pearl's lines. You will also see your children's additional sides lines. I will also work on splitting the Money ancestors into a paternal and maternal virtual group as well. But you do have a lot here already and as others can be located I will make memorials for them and add them to your virtual groups.

I just found your photo of Elizabethʻs grave stone on her find a grave memorial page. Thank you so much for posting it! She is my 9X great grandmother... may I use your photo on my private family tree? I always give credit to the photographers who generously allow me to use their photos... thank you very much.

Hi Cherie Lynn,
Yes I am a descendant of David, he is my 7th grt grandfather. I am amazed at the information I've found as when I started this search too many years ago I did not have much to go on. At one time I lost everything I did have in a house fire which destroyed all my possessions. I'm now 80 and I'm trying to replace what I had and it's been a journey both frustrating and rewarding. The Lewis family connection comes from my Nicholas/Davis family line. Finding a connection to Meriwether Lewis has been interesting so now I'm reading about him. That is what genealogy does for me, sends me on other pursuits!
Thanks for adding him to Willamette National Cemetery.
Also, my condolences on the sudden loss of someone in your family.

Hi! I want to thank you for creating all the wonder memorials for the stribling/Taliaferro line. I have enjoyed reading the information and looking at the pictures. It is awesome! And I am amazed at the time and effort you have put into your research. Thank you very much for doing this for my ancestors. m.g.

Hope you are well?
We visited Westoe Cemetery two days ago and found the area around E. D Thompsons grave had been cleaned up and is now very accessible. I re-photographed the stone and surprisingly found another quite long inscription on the side referring to children.. It is very difficult to read as the gold leaf lettering is almost worn away. I could make out the following..''EVAN SECOND SON OF'' I will send photos by e-mail.
