Even though FindAGrave has posted rules for copying and posting photos, I am giving you permission to copy any photos you might like for your genealogy research.|
If YOU ask, and I take it, then I consider the photo YOURS too. I am happy to contribute to your search.
Some of the cemeteries I have visited have been vandalized or left to Mother Nature. I have no objection to someone adding better quality photos or a photo of a stone after restoration. Any information to help a fellow genealogist is appreciated
P.S. Thank you for the edits and additions. I want to make sure all info is correct!
added note: To all who fulfill my own photo requests: I include your memorial number on my Ancestry tree so all credit will lead back to you.
another note: Depending on the date, I sometimes include a stone with no death date. I had a gentleman contact me thanking me for including the stone of his mother, still living, but he had been looking for her and decided to try looking on FindAGrave to see if she had a memorial. He was so grateful. So, dead or alive, people are looking for their loved ones, and FindAGrave is a help to all.

I see you have two photo requests for Rhoads located in the Rhoads cemetery, Macoupin County Illinois. I have created a Facebook page for this cemetery and plan to visit soon. It was overgrown and in great dis-repair at my last visit a few years ago.

Sorry. I haven't been on here in a few years. The mosuleum is still standing. The number to call for the cemetery is (618)252-8038. Sorry it took so long to respond.

Have you had a chance to visit the Pleasant View Cemetery in Providence since I last contacted you? I am still looking for my ancestor, Malinda Jane Dodds. Did you have any additional informa-tion on the above-numbered memorial?

Hi, Oops, still working on these folks, and somehow (hopefully I didn't do it) Ester is linked to the wrong Richard McClellan. Her second husband was Richard J. (Johnson) McClellan #102479766 rather than Richard McClellan #150822484. I tried to take her off Richard but can't so I guess you need to change it on her memorial to the correct Richard. I think once we get this fixed they will be correct. Thanks!

My grandfathers death certificate states he is buried at Burnsville IN. I cant find his grave. Do you have any suggestion?

For some reason I missed your message until this evening.
In May, 2013 I spent three days tramping through the woods in search of the Mill Run Cemetery. When I finally found it I photographed every last marker in the vicinity. I did not leave a leaf unturned. I am sure there were more, perhaps many more, graves in the cemetery but their markers (if they had one) are all gone now. I plan to return to Romney for a week this May. Let me know if I can be of help to you there. - Bill Rogers
|William Harrison||Marker photo for Kirkwood Winterrowd|
Thank you for having located, photgraphed, and posted the marker for Kirkwood Winterrowd in the Norristown Cem.
I see that the marker is on the ground and is partially covered by grass and/or sod, thus preventing the reading of the full inscription.
Would it be possible for you to return to that marker and clean away the grass/sod, photograph it again and post that photo on his memorial?
There are also photo requests submitted for Kirkwood's mother, Mary (Anderson) Winterrowd and 2 of his 1/2 brothers, Matthias & Millard, in the same cem. Possibly they are all close together?
There are presently 22 Winterrowd memorials posted in Norristown Cem, and 12 have photos posted.
Your repeated efforts would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you. My husband and I had hoped to visit the area on our way down to Fla. Cold weather prevented us from stopping. His 4X GGF is buried there. I was able, though, to find out who now owns the land.
