Hi! I am Ann I have been doing genealogy for ages it seems. As someone once said, "You don't know where you're going till you know where you've been". Genealogy has taught me more history, more geography, more law, more photography and HOW TO USE A TOPO MAP, than school ever did. My ancestors stare at me through photo's asking me what I've done with my life and I am always humbled to look back and say "Not as much as you did with yours". Genealogy has even taught my husband how to ask for directions :-)

RE: Emil J. Rautenbusch in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY
Hello Ann. Wow that is a mystery on why it was ordered and placed and then removed. There has to be a reason for removing a miltary stone I would think and I don't think the government would do it ( just my opinion ) Yes i remember very well having the workers did in the area for a stone thinking it might have been covered up by dirt and grass over the years, but they found nothing . It's been several years since i have been back there . I have been doing the National Cemetery by me this past year or so to make sure they have a memorial page and fullfilling requests . Have been sick this past year so have not been out much but plan on getting back to helping others . Thank you for letting me know about this and please keep me posted if you find out anything .

Sorry to report there's no headstone for Mr Redman. I'll add a photo of his burial site. He is just to the left of the marker in the foreground.

Hi Ann; Thank you for posting on FindAGrave. I am the great-niece of Robert Nelson & Vada Lewis Green. I have been doing research on the family for about 25 years and I can certainly relate to your bio message. My question is are you a fellow Green Family researcher; and, if so, would you like to share information? you can contact me @ felinesmamaw@gmail.com

Martha "Patsy" Samuels Mefford
Hi Ann:
Martha "Patsy" Samuels Mefford #114007985
of Scott Co., KY. married David F. Mefford. Many
have put his middle initial as "T" and am trying
to correct when possible. See his Find A Grave #114008042 tombstone picture has middle initial "F".
Is it possible on her Memorial site to fix the "T" to and "F" on the flowers you left for her with his name?
I have never tried before and don't know if it is possible?
Thank you for your help and assistance.

RE: Matilda Snediger
I wish I can help you but, I don't know anything about the daughters (Dollie, Ida, Margaret, Mary, Sarah) of Matilda Snediger and George Washington Rice. I had them on my tree once upon a time.

Hello Ann,
You mention that the information on Hugh J. Nighert #60220693, came from a Nighbert family site. I am a Nighbert from his brother, Thomas. Would you be willing to share the name of the site you found?

Thank you,
Judy Nighbert Newman
