|Hi! I am Ann I have been doing genealogy for ages it seems. As someone once said, "You don't know where you're going till you know where you've been". Genealogy has taught me more history, more geography, more law, more photography and HOW TO USE A TOPO MAP, than school ever did. My ancestors stare at me through photo's asking me what I've done with my life and I am always humbled to look back and say "Not as much as you did with yours". Genealogy has even taught my husband how to ask for directions :-)|

I have a Thomas Jefferson Smith m. Nancy T. Mefford
4 Feb. 1846 Scott Co., KY. I think she is the
daughter of David T. Mefford and Martha Samuels but
Thomas Jefferson Smith and Nancy Mefford Smith
are buried in Shelbyville City Cemetery, Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana.
His brother James Smith is buried in same area.

I am questioning that David C Whitt came from Abijah and Nancy Whitt as the 1850 Census does not show his name. It shows Rebecca age 13, Louisa age 12 and John age 9 (and 4 more kids). Can you tell me how you connected David C Whitt with this family?

Ann, What is your last name?
|Daniel Rabourn||RE: Matilda Snediger|
I wish I can help you but, I don't know anything about the daughters (Dollie, Ida, Margaret, Mary, Sarah) of Matilda Snediger and George Washington Rice. I had them on my tree once upon a time.
|James Newman||Hugh J. Nighbert|
You mention that the information on Hugh J. Nighert #60220693, came from a Nighbert family site. I am a Nighbert from his brother, Thomas. Would you be willing to share the name of the site you found?

You have the wrong person. Matilda Snediger was married to Landy Washington Rice he was born on March 25, 1825 in Bath, Kentucky. They had a son name George Washington Rice. She was never married to a George Washington Rice. Go Ancestry to find out more
|R.Holly||RE: Matilda Swain in Hendricks Co., IN|
You are welcome, glad I could help.
