I was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Florida 30 years ago. A few years ago my brother and I decided to do a genealogy of the Bradford family. We traced our family back to 1435 in England and found we were the 12 generation, direct descendant of Gov. William Bradford. Ever since then we have been "bitten" by the bug to find out what ever we can about our family.
In doing that, we discovered Find A Grave and decided it would be nice, while wandering old cemeteries, to photograph the markers and post them.
Now I have my reluctant hubby doing it along with me...he usually reads a book while I photograph, but every now and then he gets enthusiastic about this endeavor too.
Re. Bradford I'm sorry Kathlene. Did I miss something? The last email I rec'd from you, said you'd get back to me and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Are my emails going through? Let me know please! Email me anytime! I would love to hear about our 'Bradford' Family when you have time. It sounds like may have more info. than I do. Thank You, Cousin Kathleen
Marcus Bradford I'm so excited that I ran across this! These pictures mean so much to me. Our family doesn't have any like this that I'm aware of. Marcus, in the younger picture looks SO MUCH like my uncle Ervin (named after my great grandfather Ervin Sherwood) Of course, Ervin married Nora Bradford--my great grandparents! I can see where the strong resemblance comes from (that we call the Sherwood Look) I guess it's more like the Bradford Look!! Thank you for sharing this; and, all the info! It helps me so much!!
Gov. Wm 1590, to Maj. Wm 1624, to Lieut. Thomas 1656, to Lieut. James 1688, to Wm 1718, to Joshua 1751, to Joel 1781, to Joshua 1831, to Joseph 1865, to Viola Beatrice Bradford 1915, to Mina, them me. :o)
Bradford I don't have it as far back as you do sadly. If mine is accurate, my family traced to my 9th great grandpa, Gov William Bradford b1590. My dear Grandma was Viola Beatrice Bradford. I am happy to share what I have. Feel free to email me any time. Sincerely, Kathleen
