Leslie W Jaynes Grave
You recently sent me a the message:

I was photographing headstones in the Kildare Cemetery, Cass County Texas, when I came across a Leslie W Jaynes (1882 - 1938) who is on a Dbl. marker with Nettie Walker Jaynes who is his spouse. I was curious where you got the info for the memorial.

I believe you are referring to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, which is *not* in Kildare, though it is in Cass County. At least that's the Find-a-Grave site that your message linked to.

Perhaps we are referring to different memorials here.

There were *three* different sites for this cemetery and Find-a-Grave merged the sites into one. I got many of the dates for graves from the following web site:

http://home.roadrunner.com/~addy652/Mt-Zion-Cemetery.html

I am *not* sure where the dates for this memorial came from.

William Edward Griffin
Mu husband is a greatgrandson of William Edward Griffin. I noticed the memorial headstone regarding serving in the Civil War. I am interested in learning who placed the memorial. If you have any information regarding the cemetery association for Laws Chapel or the person that placed the headstone I would really like to contact them. Thank you for your help in the matter.

RE: White & Purdom
Thank you so much! Those are wonderful pictures. I will research what I can about the footstone. Somehow James, my 3xGgpa would be in the row next to her. It would interesting to figure out what happened to him. He was only about 20, and he and his wife only had the one child my 2xGgma. I have no idea what happened to Amerial his wife. I so appreciate it, thanks again!

Lou Washington Memorial
Thanks for figuring out my error as to which cemetery Lou is in. I'll leave my memorial in place until the person who added the photos transfers them to the other memorial. Then I will delete my memorial.

Memorial Images
Hi Wildcards,
I would like to thank you for the most excellent images of the grave markers that I requested. I really appreciate the size and quality of the pictures that you made for me. It is people like you that make searching for my roots an enjoyable experience.
Also, may I use the images on the FamilySearch family tree website? I would of course list it with full credit given to you for the use of the images.
Thanx again,
Doug

RE: Aiken Headstone's
I know what you mean about (Sparkledirt). I'm correcting all that I run into.

I'm glad you got a photo of Dave's grave. That clears up a lot for me. He is the brother of Joseph F. Aiken and Sarah Brown. Both of them are buried in New Prospect Cemetery.

As for spelling the Aiken name. I'll use Dave as an example. He is William David or Davis Aiken. On the 1920 census he's Dave Akins. 1910 he's Dave W. Akin, in 1900 he's William D. Aiken, in 1880 he's William D. Aikins, in 1870 he's William Aekins, in 1860 he's W. D. Aikens and in 1850 York County, South Carolina he's William D. Akin. So anything that look's like Aiken is part of that family.

Once again, thank you and your wife for all of the help you've given me.

Have a Great Day
Ron

You are wonderful. You actually found my great grandmother's grave. I know it is her grave because I have the exact same picture. My mother had the right grave but wrote the wrong place on it. She for some reason thought it was in Shady Dale, Georgia but it is not. It is in Texas where her husband lived and was buried. He is buried in a different cemetery in Texas.

I am sending a donation to Find A Grave in appreciation of all your work and help.

Again thank you.
