Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I'm Pam. Welcome to my bio page. Thanks for visiting.

I am happy to transfer memorials of any person I'm not related to. There are memorials I have added that are waiting for family to claim them.....
Just let me know!

Feel free to use my gravestone photos, but I expect you to credit me as the photographer.
Too many of my photos are being put on other sites, and the person who submits them takes the credit. That's in violation of my copyright.

Please do NOT use my personal family pictures. If you need one, please contact me.
Thank you.

~~Please visit my parents: ♥♥
DAD---Gene Haag, and
MOM---Laura Mae Haag.

My friend Terry.

Our beloved dog, REBA.

Please also visit this 16 year old boy,
Charles E. Shipley. He is buried in the loneliest spot in the cemetery. **Charles has a new person near him now, Joseph Endich

Thank you for visiting my memorials.

RE: Reta Nickerson Pierce
There was never a formal reply, but the issue seems to have been resolved within a day or two. Growing pains on the part of the web site, I think. Thanks so much for your message and your understanding!

RE: Hi,
Hi Pam, sorry to hear that your laptop is giving you problems. Modern technology is great as long as it works! I hate having to get something new because most of the time I can't figure out how to work it :-(

Goodness, your family just keeps on growing! Having all those babies born around the same time will be so much fun (at least for you).

Things are good here except that summer is flying by way too fast! Don't have much time on here myself. Just so many things to do and not enough time.

Take care! Hugs, Rosie

Good Morning, Sweet Pam....Thank You, it was time I came back. I missed all of you, I missed remembering and visiting all the beautiful memorial's!

Sounds like your beautiful family just keeps growing, how great is that!!

I'm sorry about your computer, I would just have to bite the bullet and go get a new one, I would be lost without FB and Find A Grave...gets lonesome on the prairie! =)

Have a wonderful day, it felt like fall this morning, a refreshing 59 degrees, love it!

Sending Love and lots of Hugs

RE: Reta Nickerson Pierce
Hello,
I was working on Saturday, uploading photos and creating records where necessary. On several sequential records, something strange was going on. I created records for the two "Lance" markers, and now they seem to be gone. The two photos that I uploaded to them ended up on unrelated records. Fortunately the the people in charge of the records where they were posted (including you) have let me know, and I have deleted them. I also created records for two people with the last name of Jordet. When I search the Lake Preston Cemetery for that name, Eline and Ole Jordet come up in the results, but clicking on their names takes me to the records for Ruth Holmes in Pennsylvania and Mary Mackie in Canada, though those records are weird hybrids of information that I entered and information that someone else entered. And I have no idea where the Jordet photos that I uploaded went!

I have emailed Find A Grave about the problem but have not heard back, and I am taking a break from posting until I do. I apologize for the confusion!

Best regards,

B. Hahn

Thanks Midwestmom for letting me know about the notation on his mother's stone about him. A previous Find A Grave Contributor in 2011 had told me there was no marker or any mention of him on any marker in the cemetery. Thus my notation. Thanks for letting me know about the information on his mother's marker and for the GREAT photographs of her marker. They are GREAT APPRECIATED!! Sincerely, Baxter

Charles Shipley
Hi Pam,
I've been searching for Charles Shipley. I read his bio again and wondered if the Mormon site (Family Search) or Ancestry would have something. I found a census (Ancestry) for 1900 in Hancock County, Indiana that lists a Charles Shipley, age 15 who was a boarder in the house of Tighlman Scudder. There is also another young man boarding with the family. Charles' birth date is given as Sept. 1884, (Indiana) which isn't off by much on the headstone. We've found in our family searches that this is common. Some of our families first names are spelled wrong or written in a sloppy manner which caused someone else to take them for a different letter also.

If he was a boarder at such a young age, it might explain why no one came to look for him. Maybe he had no family. It might be your Charles Shipley.

RE: My thoughts are with you
Everyone needs to believe if you have a headache and it is bad and lasts all day and you go to bed with it, it could be a problem. I had a bad headache all Sunday went to bed laughing, " I might not wake up in the morning, it hurts so bad." Ha Ha....No narcotic or anything could get rid of it. It did not feel like it was the worst pain I ever had, just a persistent head ache.

So we have hot balloons that go over the house from time to time and I was asleep and I was woke up because of the hot air balloon gliding over the roof of the house. That noise they make of the blast of propane to raise the balloon was loud and I could almost feel the heat. Anyway I knew what it was. Jumped out of bed to go look (they are beautiful) There were four balloons landing in the field next to my house.

One was checkered and as I looked at it I realized I was seeing them over lapping, Double vision. Then my face was tingling on the right side. Seeing the lights in my kitchen with halos of double vision, I freaked out. Normal response. I decided if anything, it was a blockage and not a bleed so I ran for the aspirin.

All I kept thinking is God don't let this be happening. Please not me, not now. MY eye looked strange drooped a little bit and as much as I did not want to go to the ER I had no choice.

Long story a T I A... transient ischemic attack, a "mini stroke" . they say there is no permanent damage to the brain. So my double vision is better but still here and it makes me CRAZY! My Doc said, the balloons getting me up could have saved my life. He also said had it been a bleed the aspirin was not a good idea. I made a decision and lucked out. Wow...this getting old is hard. Freaky and so scary . I am used to having my body do what I tell it to. This time it said "no" and I did not like it at all.

Thank you for your love and concern. If this was a precursor of what is to come, I want to say now that I have loved you all and you have been my friend and my cyber family. I am grateful to you for showing your amazing ability to care and reach out to others and to lend a soft word of kindness. In the end all we have is those who care about us, and it is nice to know you were here for me.
L,
Diane
