Bio Photo Hello, and welcome -
My name is Beckie, and I am the proud mother of four children that has been the sunlight of my days. They are all adults now, and its unbelieveable how fast your children grow. I can still remember my first taking his first steps!

i have been doing genealogy research for over 35 years. Started when i first interviewed my grandmother and got hooked from there. One of the reasons I joined find a grave, is because of my hope of finding the gravesites that I can only hope to visit.

I am busy with a project to document the history of the Major's Choice propery in Bel Air Maryland. Along with a great friend who lives next to the Philip Henderson home, we are trying to document the slaves that lived and worked on that property. In our research, we have expanded to the lives of so many prominent Bel Air residents of the time period from 1750 to the 1950s. 200 years!

In addition, I am working feverishly to complete my own project for my kids. See the above webpage for my project.

One in particular is that of Jerry Bridges who was a Vietnam War MIA for a very long time 1968-1994. And finally laid to rest in 2002 in Giles Memory Garden, Pulaski, Tennessee. If you live in that area, please, get a picture of his grave. FOUND AT MEMORIAL # 15123871 . Would mean the world to me. His name engraved first on my Vietnam MIA bracelet I received in 1971 and has been engraved in my heart ever since then.

Through my website I have come in contact with so many Choate family members who are eager to find more for their families. I am so happy to help, so keep it coming.

I have had the opportunity to finally go to Bourland Cemetery in Keller Texas to document for myself the information I've collected over the years for the Choate Family. Thank you to for the contributions of the Choate names to the Findagrave database. Much appreciated.
I am very excited to be a volunteer member of Find-A-Grave and look forward to any requests made by others to help them in their search!
May you all find peace in your hearts and may God shine his light upon you.---------------------

I think I sent a note to Find A Grave to combine the memorials - there were 3 that I found. If you'd like, you can delete yours, or wait for Find A Grave to do their thing. Thanks.

Joel Monroe - Greenwood

I have pages that I copied from the New Castle Library on Greenwood Cemetery. In the list of burials for 1875-1877 it says that Joel(Sr.) was buried April 14, 1877. If you might like to fill that in as the death month.

Litzinger correction
Thank you for the correction for Sheridan Litzinger. I can only link parents and spouses. Sibling links show up when the brother's and sister's all have the same parental links.

posting obits (copyrighted material) is against Find-A-Grave policy (please see their FAQ on this site) as is listing living relatives by name. Please state your relationship. Direct relationship (father/mother; grandfather/grandmother;
etc. within 4 generations) is required for transfers

RE: Patrick B Cooley
Thanks for contacting me. I have done some further looking and find that the soldier's name was Robert Cooley. In the 1860 census of Georges, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, Robt is listed with his mother Ruth.
Ruth Cooley 47
Jno Cooley 23
Asa Cooley 21
Robt Cooley 19
Mary J Cooley 17

I found that his mother, Ruth Cooley who was a widow, applied for a pension based on the service of Robert B Cooley, pvt Co F 14th Pennsylvania Cavalry, who died as a prisoner of war, at Augusta, Ga., March 18, 1864.

This information is from original source documents published on and

I looked at the page in the U.S. Burial Registers again. The writer of that page made definite, separate periods separated from the initials in all other entries on that page, so I do not see it as "P. B" but as "R B".

I am resubmitting my edit as Robert B. Cooley.

Thank you for bringing up this issue.
