RE: Allen Carter & Walter S Carter
Thanks for the confirmation on Walter Scott Carter. My mom's geneology book (which I just recently borrowed) had Walter listed under William
Carter-I'm hoping that I have Allen & William's
kids with the right parents now. It seems as though with Allen & William living so close together they sometimes shared living space. Three of Allen's step kids were listed as 3 of William's step kids on one census report. When you look at other connections on on these two, people are really confused about who belonged to who. I have an aunt, who is the granddaughter of Andrew Valentine Carter, one of William's younger brothers; she & my mom have been researching since around 1980. Glad to know someone who lives in Missouri. Thanks for the photos of Valentine & Meleta's stones. You didn't happen to get an overall photo of his stone did you?
Have a good day!

RE: Bridges Family
The lady who owns the property, along with her husband, is a genealogist. She has invited us to come out and look at the cemetery any time, as long as we call in advance. The cemetery recorded as "Bridges" is actually the Enon Methodist Church Cemetery. There was a short-lived church at the site and obviously the Bridges were active in it as they are just about the only folks buried there in marked graves.

It's on Old State Road, west of Highway C. The lady to call for further directions is:

Barbara Blaue

Happy Hunting,

RE: Bridges Family
I do not have any photos. I was told that the name of the cemetery is the Bridges family cemetery.
