Eliz, Marg, and Hector Hammond - Ford Cemetery
Hmmm, you would think they would be in that book as Amelia (d 1891) and Bertha (d 1888)were the first and Elizabeth and Margaret were born and died in 1893 and Hector in 1896. Oh Well, I'm sure they are there. I won't make a memorial unless I have "proof" of some kind that they are there..if I didn't photograph the grave, I have used a family record, death cert, or newspaper article. (although I have found all to be incorrect at times). Of course then they can be moved! ugh. I will just have to go home for a couple days...I haven't been in Ithaca in thirty years.
Oh well, thank you for your help and consideration of the transfers. I believe the F.A.G. guidelines are meant to be just lines. You can transfer a memorial to anyone, but you do not HAVE to if they are not direct family. Most people(including myself) transfer memorials if the person is family. I am glad to place the memorial in the hands of family. But as F.A.G. says you do not have to.
I respect that.
