I am researching many families in Shelby County, Indiana. My blog, Shelby County, Indiana Ancestors is online at: http://ancestorsofshelbycountyindiana.blogspot.com/.|
My Shelby County Indiana connections include Steward (Stewart), Williams (3 lines!), Imel, Rush, Terhune, Sanders, Lisher, Armstrong, Alexander, Rohm, Harrell,Dubois, and many families from the northern half of the county.
Please use the Edit button to submit any corrections or additions to my memorials.
I have encountered others on Find A Grave who seem to think it is a big numbers game. Adding so many memorials without making sure they are correct. It is greatly appreciated by everyone if the facts are correct.
If I have placed a memorial on Find A Grave and you are related, please contact me and I will be HAPPY to transfer it to you. I have placed most of these online to assist others.

You're very welcome for the info.
Luther Maze was my 4th cousin 1x removed. I trace my Maze line back to John Maze, who married my 4th great aunt Hanna Harney.

I am not related, but have been mapping the cemetery and updating the information on Findagrave. Their son's ashes were recently buried there and I've added him to Findagrave. I will pass along more information as I find it. Debbie

Hi, No I'm not related in anyway. Her obit just happened to be next to one I was looking up at the Shelby Co. Genealogy Library. So before I filed it, I just thought I'd see if hers was posted too & noticed you didn't have the funeral arrangements & thought you might like to have it. I know I would have. I just love helping people out with finding their families.
Happy Hunting ! Linda

Took pictures of other Woodward markers. Please see if they are your family. I had to do color splash effect to make them come out readable.

You are very welcome.

Hi Judith, no we are not related to the DuBois family. I took the pictures so that I could give others the chance to find this family and to provide my husband's Dermatologists a chance to search this out also. He is doing his family tree also. I did look for some census reports as I believe that their close living to my husband's family of Hughes on DuBois creek possibly connects them to the same Underground Railroad as the Hughes ran. I don't know if your people were known underground operatives as well? You will want to visit Franklin County, In and do some research there. There is a nice Genealogy section in the Library and court house records. It is possible that I missed some of the DuBois at the cemetery as we were under time constraints when we were there. I have not been back since.
I will be interested to see what you find out. The Dermatologists is Andrew M. DuBois, MD, his phone number is 812-222-0202. You could leave a message for him there.
Good luck, May Hughes
I added the obit int the bio if you would like to eliminate it under the flower. Thanks, Kay

I thought you might want to add this obituary and create a Find A Grave memorial at Forest Hills Memorial Park

No. I am not related. Did you know that Eliza's grandson died a few days ago?
My Uncle was married, for a few years (no children), to Patricia Terhune Ford.
I actually photographed the whole cemetery a few months ago and have been slowly uploading photos... so I had already taken it. :)
