Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family tree since 1998. I wrote a book on the Lashells/LaShelle/LaShell family.

I am related to the following surnames: BAIN(E), BLACK, CHITTY, EASTON, HOUTZ, JAMESON, JEFFERS, KOSMICKI, KRACHT, LaSHELLE, LaSHELLS, LaSHELL, PITULA, RACE, RAYMER, SANDERS, TOMLINSON, WOOD & VAN ARSDALEN.

I love genealogy and I welcome any corrections or additions. I am really happy to answer any question or accept any suggestion, so don't be afraid to write. I am also happy to transfer a memorial to a family member or friend to maintain.

I enjoy helping others with their family research and try to post pictures from cemeteries in my area as frequently as possible. Pictures that I post on this site are for sharing, so please feel free to copy or post them as you like.

Thanks, Jennifer. Found a couple of census records and it looks like he was a steam boat pilot. Devon

RE: Katharine W Medary and Thomas B Medary
Thank you, Jennifer, for transferring these graves. Incidentally I seem to have spent an equal amount of time trying to connect my Grinold family to the well-known Grinnell family with no avail. Someday all will become clear.

Katharine W Medary and Thomas B Medary
Hi, Jennifer, I wouldn't mind taking over this couple if you want because I've been doing some research on the family although I know a lot more about Katharine than Thomas who remains something of a mystery.

If you have descended from the Race/Rees/Rice family back east, I bet we probably have relatives in common.

Thanks, Devon #47370062

RE: John Henry
When the city cemetery digitized their records, they were working off of hand-written records for most of the early burials. I've run across quite a few misspellings over the last few years--it can make it hard to find people, that's for sure! The older records were pretty hard to read at times, and misrecorded to begin with in others.

pontrhydyfen is the manager of Jack's memorial, so that's who your new corrections would have gone to. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

If for any reason you need the photo I took of the stone, I keep my photo files in case someone needs them and can forward the photo to you. If I can be of any other assistance, please let me know.

Have a lovely week!

Best,
~'Becca

RE: John Henry
Hello there!

I checked my records, and it looks like I did delete that memorial. When you sent me the edits, I put them through, then realized not long after that I had inadvertently made a duplicate, owing to a spelling difference. I deleted the duplicate per Find A Grave's rules. The original is here:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=l&GSfn=john&GSiman=1&GScid=20999&GRid=84562336&

I'm glad you asked about it, actually--I couldn't remember who had sent the edits so that I could let them know about the original memorial.

Best regards,
~'Becca

Koehler, Philip Memorial: 73357946
Hello Jennifer,
I had sent you an e-mail earlier via the edit option to suggest any other correction. I sent you a transcript of Philip's obituary from 1900. I also checked that a copy would be sent to myself (I usually do). As of this writing, a copy had NOT been sent to my e-mail address. Would you please be so kind as to check to make sure you did get that suggestion (sent this am 2/17/2015). I just hope the suggestion (and others I sent to other contributors) isn't in cyberspace somewhere :)
Thank you ever so much for checking,
~Berta Pep
