Hi, I am related to Samuel Hilkert, buried next to his mother (Sarah Perry Hilkert) in Center Lutheran Church Cemetery. You took the photo some time ago and I recently added Sarah (799505155). Could you please add the relationship to her as mother?
Thanks much! David Hilkert
|K Perry||2 Aaron Hassingers 1835-1928|
Hi -- There are 2 Aaron Hassingers born 1835-died 1928 findagrave pages; One is in St Peters Church Cemetery in Hartleton, Union County Pa,(yours) and one is in Ray's Church Cemetery, Millmont Union County Pa(someone from Aaron Hassingers family). Do you know which church cemetery he is really in ?
His Penneylvania, Veterans Burial Card (1777-1999) is listed as Aaron Hassinger born 1835 and died 2 Feb 1928, Age 93, Army, Civil War, Compnay G, 172nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Regt, from 10/28/1862 to 7/31/1863 and states he is buried as #44- Section Lot No. 4 ,Range Lot Nunber 3 , Ray's Church Cemetery, Lewis Twp, Pa and Registration is W P A Grave Registration 1940.
Someone put the picture on your St Peter's church cemetery record, and I would like to know if he is really there in St Peter's church cemetery or if he is at Ray's church cemetery as ancestry.com has on the Veteran's card. it actually looks like the real veteran burial card. Would you know where that stone really is ??

Do you know what year she died? And the names of her parents?
|Leslie||Gloria Irene Buck Guffey|
Steve, my husband is related to many of the Bucks found in Highland Cemetery, but I don't know the name Gloria Irene Buck. Can you share a bit of her ancestry? Thanks, Les

Hi Steve! Thanks for responding! I am Richmond's(not Richard--a common mistake) daugher. I'm sure I met Mrs. Guffy (your mother?) when Rose was alive. I kinow Rose was very fond of her, however, I wasn't aware that she was Leora's and Erma's friend also. What you can learn from the Internet! I'm currently researching Leora's family tree for her and plan to visit with her and Bob in Lewisburg next weekend where they've been staying for the summer. I was surprised to learn that Rose's house is for sale again. I don't know why, but that is a little disturbing to me -- that was "our" family home for almost 50 years... so many memories of that house.
