You are very welcome! :) Sorry I couldn't find the other Downey request this trip. There are a bunch of Downey's together, but some of them I couldn't make out any of the writing at all. Usually I can at least get a few letters or enough of a date to make a calculated guess. ;) But some of them at Pell I couldn't even begin to guess on. :(

I have linked Lacy to her parent's, Sherman and Hassie, as you requested.

Hi, I went to Calvary Cemetery in Lexington Kentucky to fill your photo request and they have no records on a Robert Matthew Lilly. They keep very thorough records there. If you're a relative I'd suggest ordering the death certificate for verification. I looked him up on ancestry.com and it does list him as died in Fayette county but that's all that is available. Not that I know of. Always Hillview.

So what do you think though, is it her? It's definitely in the right plot and there are no other graves anywhere even close (in her row). Same date, same exact age. It must be her--is it possible her name was Berthena or Barthena? I notice it was entered by Mary Edmonds who has many typos and mistakes and who won't reply to edits or messages. Next time I go to the historical society I will look up the transcription and see what it actually says (it appears Mary entered memorials from the historIcal society books). I will also keep an eye out next time I go to Elkville and try to get a picture without the mud on the stone. If I can get a better photo or more information, I will be sure to let you know.
You are welcome :)
