Memorial # 17171433

Louis this is my first cemetery to do. Pearl Gillis BD on Find A Grave was the 20th. The stone shows 19th, I changed that on the Bio from 20 to 19, as that is what we had also. If this is wrong, please let me know.

RE: Memorial #31971930 for John W Kerlin
Hello I hope I didn't offend you. I should have said that it might be possible that the John W. Kerlin buried in the Clifton cemetery may not be the same John Kerlin son of Samuel and Virginia Kerlin as was linked. According to the records I found on Ancestry in the database titled "Pennsylvania, Veteran Compensation Application Files, WWII 1950-1966" there is a John William Kerlin, born Dec. 21, 1921 in Altoona, PA on the second page it lists his parents as Raymond Thomas and Adele Kerlin. The application is dated 1950 and Mr. Kerlin is residing in Rhode Island (where his wife Lois Grant was from). The birth and enlistment dates found for John W. Kerlin also matches the information in the US Veteran's BIRLS death file database. The death and SSN in the BIRLS matches the Social Security Death Index. In the 1920 census the John Kerlin living with Samuel and Virginia "Jennie" Kerlin in Wylie, TX is way older and could not be the same John W. Kerlin. I am happy to email you the links to the records as I am not able to paste links in this message format. Perhaps I am mistaken. I am related to John W. Kerlin of Altoona although not a direct descendant, 1st cousin, twice removed. Thanks for responding. Jessica

Transfer request for Cornelius Marion Hardy 17676113
Thank you for making the changes to Cornelius Hardy's memorial. I would like to ask that his memorial be transferred to me for management though, since there are more connections I can make. Cornelius Marion Hardy was my great great grandfather. The family line goes like this: Cornelius & Louisa Jane (Lane) Hardy > William Walker & Dilcie Texana (Burgan) Hardy > Leon and LaFairia (Falls) Hardy > Leslie Thomas Hardy and my mother, who is still living > me: Deanne Hardy-McKinney. Thank you.

RE: Dr. Carl Emil Schow
I wouldn't be surprised if your dentist was one of Dr. Schow's pallbearers. I attended the funeral, and I recall recognizing a great many dentists there. Thanks again for putting this good man's obituary on his Memorial.

RE: Dr. Carl Emil Schow
Thank you for posting this famous man's obituary.
I am a dentist, and all of us in Texas respected Dr. Schow immensely.

I think it should be referred to as Austria as the time when they were born. My reason is: until 1918, that part of Europe was ruled by the Habsburg Empire in Austria, governed by the Kingdom of Bohemia, which was a Kingdom not a country.
I have email Find A Grave admin about adding Bohemia to their country list but never heard back from them. Maybe it takes a lot of people to email them.

I have no idea what you want me to do moving cemeteries. I know they are merged and they are all giant areas and then some...possible you are digging in church records and other documents and want to divide the cemeteries up. I just am not sure what you want me to do....I looked but at the site.
Are you really a Find A Grave admin or a local person? because I am confused...and the way you signed your email was what bring this up...."Sincerely,
Louis A Svach
FindaGrave Administrator for Bosque County, Texas"
