I grew up in Las Vegas NV (Go Rams!) where I joined the Navy. I retired after 27+ years and ended up settling in the Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach VA area. We now live in the small town of Moyock NC. I am fully retired now but up until recently I worked for the Currituck County EMS Department as an EMT and volunteer FF.
I have been doing genealogy about nine years now, but that does not mean to say that I don't struggle finding missing ancestors just like everyone else. I manage a family website and am currently writing a book on my ancestors with a few very helpful friends.
I would be very happy to help taking photographs for anyone who may be buried in the Tidewater VA and Northeast NC areas. Also any of the photos I may post on Find A Grave may be used for genealogical purposes. | |

I have tried to research Laura Louise Wharry for you at the cemetery office. The office has a Laura Louise Canney listed for the same dates of birth and death (11/8/1858 - 9/29/1923). Is it possible her last name was Canney? Or that she possibly married a Canney? I have a picture of the Canney stone if you would like that.

| EAST Northwood Cemetery

My husband and I visited East Northwood Cemetery on Veterans Day and redid the Holmes photos. We'll put the new photos online as soon as we process them from our video.
