I felt it was the least I could do for you and your family. It's tough losing a sibling. Will you allow me to transfer him to you? MA

RE: Laing
Yes, I am familiar with your family. My parents (Milton and Mary) owned Tranquility Inn and my siblings are Hal, Bob, Heidi and Rich Loss. Bill was in my high school class and we were the only two present at our last reunion who had served in the military.
Shall I transfer Bill's memorial to you? MA

Just to let you know there will be a group doing a cleanup of this cemetery on June 1st at 10 am
Need to honor James Arnold who did all the cemetery documentation in RI back in 1890
Thanks for that good picture, will get another after the cleanup.

Delilah Matteson

You posted a photo of her headstone on 2/25/2015. The poster of her memorial has her burial cemetery as unknown.

What cemetery was she buried in?

John B. Jencks, husband of Sarah and Laura
Would you mind sharing your death record of John B. Jencks, who was the husbands of Sarah Van Velzer and Laura who died in 1854. Both died in Livingston County NY.

Thank you, Jonathan, for taking the time and using your own personal resources to photograph the headstones of our loved ones. I am thankful for volunteers like yourself, that make Find-a-Grave such a huge success. Your efforts are much appreciated. Best regards, Bernice Mazzeo

RE: Sarah Oatman
Every time I tried to explain it to myself it got confusing! I kept going back to check if I had the records all correct. Too many Davids, too many Sarahs, lol. Pleasure working with you and love your photographs!

RE: Sarah Oatman
Hi Jonathan, yes, David who m Eunice Austin.

Their son Hiram married Freborn and Sarah Oatman's daughter Marilla MAtteson.

I left an extensive post on this several years ago on Ken and Marge's board several years ago.

The marriage of David, (relict of Eunice), and Sarah (Oatman) Matteson, (relict of Freborn) was 06/09/1842 in Shaftsbury.

This was after all their grandchildren of Hiram (his son) and Marilla (her daughter) were born.

It explains why she is in the Shaftsbury cemetery listed as "wife of David", instead of the Arlington cemetery with her first husband Freborn.
